Marco grunted in response to Percy's words. "Kida and Kyru only care about food and pretending to be birds when they steal my shirts," the captain sighed, pressing a hand to his temple. "But if you really need to feel so important, I guess I can send for you." He almost smirked. Almost. So close. But it died as he walked along the hall of the vessel, eyes trained to the ground because it hurt too much to lift them or glance around. "Oh, a question, Percy? Are you only helping me because there's something you want?" Another smirk. Almost. You could see it by the way his lips twitched until it died down. "What now? Does this have to do with your father? Or maybe this is about Kendall this time..." Another grunt, this one quieter. "Well, what do you need now?"

Percy pursed his lips tightly together and watched Marco, knowing that he was teasing him but couldn't help the slight the small blush that pinched his cheeks. There was probably only one other person that could manage to do that. The almost smirk made him smile at the floor. "Only...?" Percy's head snapped up at Marco. Oh, how Marco knew him so well..
Guilt crashed down on him and he stared at the floor. Even if Marco had been teasing him, yet again, Percy couldn't help but feel guilty. "I do really worry... Marco. B-But..." A deeper blush cursed his cheeks and he looked at the floor. "It was about my dad, I'm sorry..." He really was.

That was one reaction he certainly hadn't expected. Despite the pain, Marco turned his gaze to Percy, brows collapsing in an attempt to decipher such reaction. No answer came to him. "Why are you sorry?" The captain murmured in a solemn voice. His glance lowered again, eyes closing as pain thrummed against his skull. "There's nothing to be sorry about, Percy. Now, come on. What were you going to ask me?" Marco slowly came to stop, now outside his room, but the pirate was determined to get an answer out of the young man who was actually older than him.

Percy let out a breath and smiled lightly. "I feel guilty because you're right. I-I wanted... I wanted to ask if it was okay to go see my father. But I also felt guilty because you probably have a huge headache right now and I'm just bothering. So I said sorry." He stayed back, looking at Marco and watching the expression on his face. "I know I'm... I should let go and not continue to see him every time we're going near Satskanna..." He looked down and away, his brows pushing together. "But... he... I love him." That was the easiest to explain. Percy deflated, looking at Marco with hopeful eyes.

Marco killed the ache that pinched at his heart; that didn't matter now. Percy did. "Stop acting like a prisoner on this ship," the captain growled lightly. "You're allowed to see your father just like the rest of the crew is allowed to do the same." He leaned back against the door, crossing his arms, lost in thought for a moment until he spoke. "I'll try to manage the extra day for you so we stop, alright? I'm just not sure how much time we have, since the 'extra baggage' needs to be dropped off as soon as we can deliver it." Even thinking about Claus and Charlot caused anger to rip through him for a moment before he calmed himself. "I'll make time for you to see your father, don't worry."

Percy's lips twitched at the growl and he watched Marco, slowly straightening up. Respect was full in his eyes, along with admiration as his eyes searched Marco's. The trace of a smile on his lips slowly fell away and he dipped his head to Marco. "Thank you, Captain... I didn't meant to sound like a prisoner, it's just... a little out of the way. But, thank you," Percival lifted his eyes to Marco's in hope that the captain would truly understand how grateful he was. "If it's too difficult, don't worry. I'll find a way to either get word to him."
Percival paused as he began to turn away. He glanced over at Marco and hesitated before looking around them. "Don't kill me." He quickly stepped forward, and if he could, hugged the stiff old man, who was actually younger than him, "Thank you," he said, before turning to quickly scurry away and find Kendall.
