A bright blush burned into Timothy's skin, and he was certain that it would stain his skin. "O-Oh, um," he blinked and wondered if he should lie. The thought of lying made him uncertain enough, so, he quietly said, "Vic and Alan were my friends. I'm... I'm not really good at making friends." He shook his head and spotted the inn. He headed towards it. "I..." Timothy let out a shaky breath and shook his head. "People don't really... seek me for conversation. And I don't offer a good amount of it." He swallowed. "You... you must know a lot of people. I don't know why I didn't think of it. Are... who else do you know?"

"I used to be like you, too. Devoted to my work and made little effort to make any acquaintances. I wouldn't worry. You're a charming young man and certainly capable of making friends," Gabriel mused softly up at his son. His gaze fell and he once again lulled his head against Malcolm. "Anyway, I had many friends once, all in our unit. But people come and go, inside battle and out. I'm still good friends with our commander, though. I stayed with him for some time, helped him attempt to raise his daughter." His lips curled at the thought of the two. "I'm quite sure he would like to meet you. Malcolm as well."

A snort left Timothy and he muttered, "charming" under his breath. Yeah. Sure. He was as charming as a pile a horse shit. Really charming. I used to be like you. His father said that. Pride filled Timothy's chest, thick and strong. It didn't matter if his father meant because he was so nervous. He used to be like his father.
Malcolm shifted with a sleepy smile and wrapped his arms around Gabriel. "I wanna meet him," he said, voice thick and groggy. "Can we meet him next? We can meet him and his baby."
Blinking, Timothy smiled softly and said, "I think his baby is grown up, Malcolm."
"Oh. Well, maybe," the kid said tiredly, snuggling Gabriel. "You two can be friends."
Despite his blush, Timothy smiled. "Well, I already have you as a friend."
"Mmhmm," Malcolm said quietly, and he began to drift again. "Gabbie? Gabbie can we?"

"Perhaps we can at some point," Gabriel decided with a nod. He saw no harm in paying a visit to Ruse. He figured the old akuma would be quite pleased. "I will have to ask him if we can, but I'm sure he would not mind. Especially if I were to tell him about the two of you." He practically melted in Malcolm's hold and thought that he could certainly get used to being carted around all day. "Hush, Malcolm. You should go back to sleep. We're (maybe) close to the hotel now."

"We're close," Timothy promised, and took a turn into the inn. With practice, the managed to get the door open and stepped inside the inn. No one was at the desk. A flash of anxiety ran through him and he said, "I... I am..." Absolutely terrified of meeting his father's friends? Well. Not terrified. Apprehensive. Extremely apprehensive. He walked over towards the desk and rang a bell. "Perhaps, maybe, we should call ahead to both of these friends and... see if they're willing to meet with us." He swallowed.
A smile pulled Malcolm's lips and he opened his eyes and quietly said, "Timmy's scared of Kally. I think he'll really like Kally."
"I am not scared," Timothy crouched down and carefully set the two on the floor so he could use his hands. Malcolm pulled Gabriel in his lap and leaned against the desk. "Just... I just think it would be smart to see if they're... busy."

Once again, Gabriel leaned closer to Malcolm, enjoying the warmth and comfort. "Timothy, you're quite lucky that I haven't been thirsty for quite some time. Your apprehension is like a beacon." Gently, he said, "There's no reason to be nervous. If it makes you comfortable, I can contact both of them to see if they would be alright with a visit." Though, there was still no doubt in his mind that neither Kaleb or Ruse would mind. "And Malcolm, I agree. And I think Kaleb will like him just as much."
If gorgeous wants, maybe an employee emerged a moment later. Though, Dina totally assumed they had rooms already.

(well, oops okay)
Well. Instead of dropping Gabriel and Malcolm in front of a desk, he had actually dropped them onto one of the beds in the quaint little room they had.
Back to the present, with Gabriel and Malcolm cuddling sweetly:
"I-I-," Timothy stammered, but frowned a moment later. With a sigh, he unbuttoned the top of his shirt and pulled off his jacket. "The fact you can sense my anxiety is almost worse than just having it." Timothy muttered, and sighed. Because at least then he could hide it. And he usually hid it well, other than his blushes. "You two should probably get into comfortables."
Malcolm smiled softly at Timothy and only pulled Gabriel closer. "I am comfortable."
Rolling his eyes with a soft smile, Timothy quietly pulled out pajamas for the two of them and set them on the bed. "There you go." He walked over towards the other bed and sat to take off his shoes. "So... this man, the commander... you were in a squad then? What did you guys do, exactly?"
Malcolm smirked and whispered, "Timothy thinks he's going to sleep on the other bed again."

Gabriel was so very tempted to demand that Timothy change both the "little ones" into pajamas. Gods, what a fight that was but in the end, he decided against it. Instead, he settled into Malcolm. He didn't need pajamas to get comfortable at this point. "How silly of him, Malcolm, to think that we would get him sleep alone in the other bed." It must have been all those years he spent with Jackson. The ketsuki had this toxic personality trait he often refereed to as being a troll. "Well, we were more battle oriented back then. We fought in a lot of battles. Our squad in particular was a cavalry unit. One of the best, our commander would say."

A deep blush fired Timothy's cheeks and he decided to ignore his father's comment. For now. He quietly changed into thin sweats and a ratty old t-shirt that he didn't have the heart to throw away. "Cavalry?" Timothy echoed. "As in, horses?" He shifted from one bed to sit at the headboard of the other. A safe enough distance so he could try and not act like a nervous fool twenty-four seven. He watched the two of them for a moment. "Battles? That sounds like it... would be fairly exhilarating."
"Fairly scary," Malcolm corrected. "But Gabbie is really strong. You were best, huh? I bet you were the best." Malcolm carefully moved him and Gabriel to lean against Timothy, and nestled against his side. "Because you're really good..."
"Malcolm, you should get some rest," Timothy mused. "Are you hungry?"
"I ate the candy in your bag I'm fine," Malcolm muttered tiredly, burying his nose in Gabriel's hair.

"That is hardly a meal, Malcolm," the older ketsuki mumbled. Gods above, he couldn't stop himself from imagining Malcolm growing into a chubby little one because all he ate was candy and sweets. "Tomorrow I will make sure you get a real breakfast. You're a growing boy who needs to eat properly." And there he went, sounding more like the squad leader he used to be. He let out a quiet breath. "But it is late now. Let's all get some sleep and we can decide what we will do tomorrow."
