Kusan
Kew-sahn
Also Known As: Lightning Elves
Region of Origin: Era
Information:
The kusan are a skiddish race. Most are jumpy and very aware. More often than not, kusan prefer to be on their own, and they don't really get along well with their own kind. Rarely do kusan families stick together. At the same time, if a kusan just so happens to find a buddy of another race, they can get pretty attached. Kusan is a recessive gene that can be found in niyol, but once the kusan is born, it is a kusan. There are no half niyol/kusan mixes. If a niyol and a kusan mate, a niyol is born.
Ironically, according to their past, a gene in kusan makes them feel safe around niyol and kusan will often cling to one. Kusan have an electric magic that sets them apart from the niyol.
Appearance:
Kusan look a lot like niyol, but they tend to be thinner, shorter, and at times weaker. Though, kusan are faster runners and better jumpers than niyol. Unlike the niyol, kusan do not get markings on them. Like the niyol, kusan have long and pointy ears that often can be decorated in earrings. But, kusan can have any hair color and eye color. They tend to be more pale, but they can be tan.
Average Height: 4'7" to 6'5"
Average Weight: 85 to 220
Lifespan: 1000YRS
Magic:
The common name "Lightning Elves" comes from their magic--electricity. Not all kusan have to have magic, but those that do are electric conductors in themselves. But this doesn't mean that a kusan can be strong enough to actually be comparable to the power of lightning and kill someone.
History:
This race was born as a rarity among the niyol. They are rare to the point that people classify them as "niyol." Many are unaware of the kusan. Only those well educated, very well educated and curious about races, might of heard something about the race. In the early years, a long time ago, "niyol" found with the electric magic of the kusan were considered demons and often left on a stake to dry out and die from thirst. Because of this, there aren't many elders of this race. In fact, it is rare to find a Kusan over one hundred and fifty years. Kusan live among the niyol, and most commonly, they think themselves as niyol.
