H EARTS AND THOUGHTS » "I-... I... " Rev blushed, then raised his hand to swipe across his cheek and his eye as though rubbing it might conceal it. It may have for a moment, but the moment was lost when his hand settled back onto the blanket beside him. It took him several more moments, and the addition of scary music and Real's cry for Rev to think of an excuse for the transformation. When Real asked for his drink and started to say he'd pour it on, presumably Rev himself, Rev smirked. Sensibly, he ignored the question and specifically did not offer his own drink over to Reality. " I thought you might be scared is all, I might have blended in." It was true, so why did it sound so lame? Lame or not, he decided he'd chosen exactly the right movie considering how close Real was, but he wasn't going to tell Real that. " There was? Well, what, you think she'd do harm just because they put on an ominous soundtrack? And you know, I didn't turn out the light..." Rev retorted. He wasn't trying to be insensitive, but, well, why was Real scared? Not that he minded. The fear suited him fine. ✘rev [/blockquote] « THEY FADE AWAY ![/blockquote]

C LOUDY WILL COPY » One of Reality's favorite things to do was to make Rev blush. A grin lifted his lips as he watched Rev struggle with his blush. Instead of pushing the embarrassment, he let it just be. His eyes wandered back to the TV, trying to be indifferent as he watched the screen. His reactions were so high because darkness was a touchy subject with him. His parents always told him that there were unkind things that lurked in the dark.
Reality blushed softly then smiled, "Thank you, Rev." His then dug down an eyebrow, "But I am not afraid~" He teased. It was obvious he was frightened, he knew. Another reason why Real was so frightened was because he was still on edge with the ketsuki from earlier. That situation petrified Reality. He could have been dead meat if Revelyn had not come and was there to save him.
And, he might of also wanted a reason to crawl into Rev's lap. His eyes tore away from the movie, he lifted his chin and cleared his throat. "I am not afraid~ Just... um... flirtatious~" He laughed happily then winced when a scream came from the TV. He pondered if he should say why he was afraid, he didn't want Rev to get angry again, but then he decided that there was no harm in it. "The... the ketsuki just gave me a bit of a scare, okay?" Deciding since that was out, he sat back to yank off his shirt and show Rev the bruises. They were slightly discolored now, a bit red, but tomorrow they would look worse. ✘real « YOUR BEAUTIFUL CODES ![/blockquote]

H EARTS AND THOUGHTS » It was official. Rev felt like a complete jerk. Actually, he felt like a thoughtless brute. Now it made total sense. While he'd reacted with rage, it shouldn't have surprised him that Reality reacted rationally with fear instead. His rage was in part a result of fear for Reality's safety, so why shouldn't Real fear for his own safety while met with danger? Briefly his mind wandered to 'training' Real, to give him a bit of confidence. Not that he thought it would really change the situation or nullify his role, nor that he'd ever give Real the chance to use said skills, but hey. The placebo effect did wonders for other situations. Why not this one?
Now wasn't the time to embark on a training endeavor so he tucked the thought away. It was hardly necessary. Any thoughts not related to Reality and the ketsuki encounter simply had no place. A tension settled in, visible in Revelyn's expression and in his posture, particularly the way he seemed to bristle suddenly, his shoulders set ridgedly. Avoiding renewed anger was not possible.
Why hadn't Rev realized there would be marks? Why was he so useless? And, was he more angry at the ketsuki, or himself? He wasn't sure. Not about anything. Rev gently lifted his hand, his fingers lightly brushing over the damaged skin as he examined it. Though Rev's gaze didn't move from Real's chest, his eyes began to gloss over with tears that weren't yet falling. It was hard not to feel like he'd let Reality down.
"Hey, Real. I'm sorry I didn't go with you. I should have. " Rev's tone was quiet, and, though he tried to hide it, filled with regret. He wished he could follow it up and say that it'd never happen again, or pretend to have some ability to detect danger Reality encountered, something to begin to erase the damage he'd done. " Let's change the movie. You pick this time." And give me a moment to stop crying like an idiot. His mind offered. Rev decided against vocalizing it. His hand recoiled back to his side to encourage Reality moving, while his gaze was now fixed on the ugly pattern of the blanket. ✘rev [/blockquote] « THEY FADE AWAY ![/blockquote]

C LOUDY WILL COPY » Worry pushed Reality's eyebrows together as he felt Rev tense. He shook his head and reached up, cupping Rev's face. Lightly, his thumbs circled his cheeks, his eyes soft. "No, Rev... no. Don't be sorry. In reality, if you think about it, it was me who rushed out. I was spoiled and thinking that I was safe, so don't be sad, okay? I'm not mad at you, so you shouldn't be mad at yourself..." A sigh left him, though he nervously leaned in to kiss Rev's chin, then his nose. Closing his eyes, Reality rested his head in the crook of Rev's neck, only for a few moments.
"I was scared... I truly was terrified. I didn't think that you would follow me out, I-I thought..." His voice hitched up, causing him wince. With a nervous swallow, he took in a breath and tried to control himself, though his hold had tightened on Rev. Years of maturity, what little he had, left him. He felt like a child again, but he couldn't help himself. As brave as he was day to day with a big, bright, and happy smile for everyone, the world terrified him, at times. Only because of how he was brought up. "I... I just didn't have positive thoughts... but when you came out I could of cried in happiness. Rev, without you, I'd... I'd..."
He shifted and moved to look Rev in the eye. "You always make me so happy, Rev. It was my fault. I'm the immature one who doesn't think before he acts and always gets himself in trouble~ You're the one who always comes in to save the troublesome little puppy." With a chuckle, he leaned back to look Rev eye to eye again. With a pause, he studied how he was sitting--on Rev's lap, facing him. Erotic, maybe. He smirked playfully, an eyebrow raising.
He leaned in and pressed his lips to Rev's soft, light. Hesitant. "How many times can I kiss you before you tell me to stop?" Truthfully, he didn't mean to do say it out loud. His cheeks filled with a fierce heat, forcing him to press his lips to Rev's again, hoping he wouldn't reply and forget what he had just said. Then, reluctantly, he slipped off Rev and dashed across the room to turn off the movie. He let out a scream when the toothfairy's face popped up and skillfully turned off the movie.
With crimson ears, he looked at the movies and changed it to something more friendly. Popping the movie in, he stood and crossed his arms, watching Rev. "Actually," he nodded towards him. "Had it been another night, it might have been very fun watching that with you." A grin lifted the corners of his lips.✘real « YOUR BEAUTIFUL CODES ![/blockquote]

H EARTS AND THOUGHTS » Rev was impossible to please at times. He didn't seem to have any sense of rhyme or reason, no consistent pattern that one could disern without knowing him very intimately. To explain himself would prove impossible for him, but to be understood and accepted was of the utmost importance. It was an uphill battle when one minute he wanted to let the gravity of the situation sink in by placing all blame, even unwarranted blame, on Reality, and the next (this moment), he wanted to hold Reality against his chest and take away all the blame away entirely. Rarely was there a middle ground when it came to Revelyn.
But sometimes, Reality found that middle ground. That point where neither emotion, nor cold logic was the clear victor in his decision. Moments when the simple gesture, such as small kisses, could bring a smile to Rev and still remain just as baffling as when they occured for the first time. Such a delicate and, even, insignificant gesture was irresistible. That was when he was docile. When his guard was down. Then, as Reality's hair tickled his ear, he instinctively snaked his arms around the younger male's waist to ensure Reality that his new spot was definitely approved of.
Terrified. Reality said he was terrified and the words went on, as if terrified wasn't all he needed to hear to say he was sorry and would do better. There was an instant desire to recoil from Reality within Rev's mind that caused Rev to release his grasp, as if he could keep Real from feeling the immediate effects of Rev's emotions toward that word. Rev kept his composure other than that one movement, fortunately, to allow Reality to finish his sentence. Then, long enough to let him move before Rev inhaled sharply. This was too close. Part of him wanted to push Real back, and the other part wanted to pull him close enough that there was no space between them, as if this wasn't close enough. He did nothing instead, just listened patiently, his eyes filled with anxious energy that he couldn't conceal.
"We could have found out, Real, " Rev's voice was quiet. He wanted to sound cool, but it came out as more of a whimper. Blushing, Rev cleared his throat unnecessarily, as if to indicate the whining quality wasn't his doing, " Humm, I mean, it might be something that's good to know. You know, in case... In case we set a world record, or... if someone else asks... " Whatever he would have thought to say next didn't make it to his lips. He was distracted by Real's scream. Yep. He was a real jerk to choose a movie like that. Granted, it was a toothfairy that was terrifying Reality. Not even a real legitimate monster. He gave a nod to Reality's statement. ✘rev [/blockquote] « THEY FADE AWAY ![/blockquote]

C LOUDY WILL COPY » From his position in front of the television, a smirk curled along Reality's lips while he placed his hands on his lips. "In case we set a record, or something, Rev?" Laughter hit his chest, gently shaking his shoulders. He didn't mean to be rude or to put Revelyn off, but the idea of setting a record? Is there such a thing? "Is it in the book of 'The Great Book of Records: Edition Eighteen, How Much Till Revelyn Stops It'?" That made him laugh even harder, but it felt good to laugh.
A part of him worried, though, what if Revelyn really didn't like the whole idea of it? What if Revelyn would rather it stay guard-to-guardee? What is a person that needs to be guarded anyways? Sighing, Reality shook his head. Can I please stay on topic in my own brain?
At times it felt incredibly hard to guess what Revelyn was thinking or feeling. Like earlier, when Revelyn wrapped his arms around him then dropped them? Swallowing a chunk in his throat, Reality crawled forward and gently sat on the bed beside Revelyn. "I didn't mean to laugh, truly. It was actually quite cute. Cute? Revelyn cute? Dare I say so!?" More soft laughter left his lips. All the laughter drained, slowly and not quite leaving his face in sorrow, more of thoughtfulness.
"I hope that there might not be a limit... I mean," all of his coolness left in a wisp of a breath, loss of words made them jumble off his tongue. It felt as if someone poured grease into his mouth, allowing all the words to slip free without control nor thought. "I-I j-just mean that--well, w-we fight sometimes, r-right? But we would, er, well?" Instead of having to deal with an explanation, he reached over and covered Revelyn's eyes with his hands. "M-Movie? Movie we watch, yes?"
