"Oh really?" Her mask covered the fact that she raised a brow but you could definitely tell with that snide attitude of hers. "That may be but who's the one who took down a moose with one arrow?" Kiya smirked, oh so satisfied with herself and sat herself down next to her kill. Now she was left to wonder how they were supposed to go back. But even still, it was probably awkward for her now because she had seen Dusty without his mask and she barely knew him.
Curiously, the shaman watched as the leader interacted with the baby, watched as the baby cracked a tired little smile and weakly reached up for the leader. There was a softness in the shaman's, a sadness too. "Eska.. That is not your child.."

"Oh yeah?" Dusty mocked her tone, digging through the snow for his mask. "Who is one of the best warriors of tribe?" He may or may not have been, but his fighting was a strength for him. "You can shoot flimsy arrows, but in a battle, you'd be the one on your back." He paused, his face heating again as he dug more eagerly through the snow, looking around for his mask. "Not like that--" He paused and let out a sigh, running his fingers through his hair. "Oh well. Now since you've seen me without my mask, might as well get to know each other, right?" A smirk lifted his lips. "That will be fun for you."
(HE SAID IT LOOLOL)
Eska at first was too caught up in the small child. The smile from the baby encouraged a twitch of a smile on his own lips. Reaching out with his free hand, he reached his finger out for the baby to hold. Then, as if woken up from a dream, he glanced up at Sakari. The smile dissipated and his eyebrows raised in question. "Oh? Oh, of course it isn't, Sakari. But a child is a child, is it not?" A sad look pressed his eyebrows down, "I didn't mean it like that... I always wondered what it would be like... to raise me own child. But I will never get that, will I?" His eyes fell back to the child. "But I don't even dare to pretend..."

"Yeah, terribly fun," the huntress growled with annoyance, rolling her eyes. Too bad she'd eat her words. Focusing on more important things, Kiya stood over her prize and discarded the arrow used to take down the beast. "Will you hurry up? We have to get this back to the village before something steals this prey from us." Dusty may annoy her now but sometime in the future, he;d be a rather good friend. Better company than she has now.
Sakari winced, regretting his words. He quickly tried to make up for what he said. "No, no.. I mean, there's nothing wrong with taking care of the child.. You could be right, this child may not have a father.. So, there's nothing wrong with being the male role model he can look up to, even a father figure." He smiled softly. "It would be tough growing up without a father." And oh how the little one enjoyed being able to hold onto Eska's finger. It caused the baby to giggle adorably.

Dusty finally, with no help from Kiya, located his mask. With a victory smile, he shook off the snow and checked it for any damage. Satisfied, he walked back over to Kiya then looked up at her and gave her a bright grin. "That was actually an incredibly good hit. I don't think many others could say they killed a moose with one arrow. Technically two, but if you tell no one, I'm not " With a shrug, he placed his mask back on and glanced down at the moose. "Should we find something to put it on so we can pull it like a sled?"
Eska watched the child with his own joy. "Father figure?" He murmured. "No, I... I don't think Tikani will stand for it. She might even move to her own hut once she is recovered..." Giving into the joy, a smile pushed upon Eska's face, making him seem younger. "So cute, Sakari... I wish I could find a way to keep him strong. He looked up at his friend, still smiling, "How can you resist the cuteness?"

But Kiya said nothing for a few moments as she watched Dusty before looking away. Good thing her mask covered her face because it hid a blush that suddenly warmed her cheeks. Despite her status as a hunter, it was still something entirely new to get a compliment. That was because when she went home, there were no such things as compliments or even love for that matter. It was a dark place at home. "I don't know," she finally said. "If we could find some wood or bark we can put together and make a makeshift sled from that..."
The shaman gave a soft smirk. "That's because I've seen and delivered babies before, Eska." But he too was captivated by the small little giggling bundle that Eska held. "In this world, it's tough raising a child all alone, Eska. I'm just saying, there's nothing wrong with offering help every now and then."

After innovative thinking and some muscle work, perhaps the pair neared the village with the moose being dragged on a make-shift sled. Dusty did his best not to complain, but he really wondered whether or not he cracked a few ribs, "Please, please Cadoc... don't make me have to see Sakari..." He breathed under his breath, his eyebrows pulling together. He glanced over at Kiya, "If you want I can drop this off. You can go back, because I know how much you enjoy spending time with me." With a pause, he said, "Let's keep the mask thing between me and you, alright?"
The leader let out a muse, "So you're advising me to become this boy's adoptive father?" Eska's light purple eyes were soft with warmth, "I suppose I can offer Tikani help if she wants it." He moved to playfilly lean against Sakari, "Look at him laugh! Sakari, it's so cute..." He glanced back up at his friend, "I wonder how Dusty is fairing..." then he frowned. "I hope he isn't causing Kiya trouble."

"Yeah, sure. There's no one I'd tell anyway." With a snort, she took a step away, letting go of the ropes she used to drag the sled back to the village. "I guess I'll see you around then," how about no. "Bye." With that said and done, Kiya turned and left Dusty there, going to head back home, leaving both the moose she caught and Dusty behind.
(Is there anything else we can do with her or do we leave her for now till she goes on the patrol with Dusty? X3)
"You can ask him yourself when he gets back," Sakari mused, leaning back against his friend. It's alright, deep down, he thought the baby was adorable. He just didn't like man handling someone else's kid because it was only his job to help bring the child into the world and then he was done. But still, he thought Tikani's son was adorable. But now the little baby tried to bring Eska's finger to his mouth to chew on it. Just like Jonah. Likes to chew.

Watching her leave, Dusty dropped off the moose at that one place, telling the person who the meat would go to. As soon as he dropped it off, he limped back towards the hut.
(LOOL)
Eska's eyes filled with amusement as the child's gums closed around his finger. "If he gets back..." He muttered quietly. "I really hope he isn't bothering Kiya." He glanced back at Sakari. Before more words could leave him, Dusty stumbled into the hut and paused as he saw the two of them.
"Oh, hey." Dusty let out a sigh, "We caught a moose." Then he winced. "Okay, well, I kinda helped. Distracting it for Kiya works, right?"
"A moose?" Eska tilted his head. "How did you..." His eyes widened. "It attacked you."
"Um. Yeah. Oh hey, your mask is off. The kid is cute. But you always liked kids, right?" He let out a sigh and sat down. "I'm fine. Really. I think I just got bruised. Now, if you don't mind me, I think I might pass out now."
(If you want to start out the thing with her you can~)

As much as Sakari hated to interact with Dusty, it wasn't like he could neglect his duties. "Then if you're injured, why don't you come over here and l can take care of it? That way, you can go out and get attacked my more moose." A smirk returned to the shaman's face. "Even still, a moose is an impressive catch for only two hunters, Dusty. Nice job." And that little baby was still chewing away on Eska's fingers, his little feet kicking and fidgeting through the blanket.
After a great day and successful hunt, it was always nice to return to a nice, warm home and wind down for the day. That was not always the case, especially for Kiya who found herself wanting to be out of the village more and more than going home. Oh well, she was tired and wanted to sit down. Uncertainty hid by her mask, Kiya walked into the hut she shared with her betrothal. She first set her bow and quiver down by the entrance of their home and removed her shoes before stepping further into the house, trying to step quietly.

"Um, yeah. Thanks for the offer, but-"
"Dusty," Eska growled, but his growl wasn't as fierce as it usually was, only because of the adorable little child in his arms. "Let him check it out, take off your mask. Really, you two. You need to get to be friends, Dusty. Aren't you the least bit lonely, having no friends?"
"Wow. Wow. Really, thanks, Eska. Really." Dusty let out a long sigh and moved over to the two of them, carefully easing himself down next to Sakari--well, an arm's length away. "No one wants to be friend with the tribe's dunce. Well, most of all. No one can resist my natural charm." He pulled off his mask, giving Eska a lazy grin. The chief shucked in a sharp gasp of shock. "And who needs friends when they have you!"
"Look at your face!" Eska sounded mournful, as if just looking at the bruise that splashed up from his neck and up onto Dusty's face could make Eska feel it.
"Charming, isn't it?" Dusty batted his eyes at Eska.
"Painful..."
Fire crackled lightly in the hut, the sound of sharpening metal slicing through the home. A man sat with his legs crossed, spear in hand and a tool to sharpen it in the other, he sharpened the spear with devote concentration. The mask on his face was one of a fierce wolverine; it hid a strong jaw and tan skin. His hair fell in thick, black curls around his mask with a slight green shine. His eyes, nearly white but slightly green, focused on the sharpness of the spear.
Broad shoulders fit on his muscular frame, his height reaching nearly six feet. "Shouldn't you be doing more productive tasks than skipping around for nothing?" Pana's deep voice rumbled threateningly. "More womanly things, as in making more blankets for the harsh winter?"
