Amadi's smile lifted more. "Yeah, probably." Finally, Imani moved. Shakily, and tenderly. Imani moved closer to Shetani and Amadi. He watched her, his face becoming calculating again.
Trembling, Imani reached out. "Can I see your wrist?" Amadi nodded and gently moved her arm. That made her flinch, so he froze. Carefully, she measured her thin wrist to his, amusement lifting her tone. "You have fat wrists too." She tried to wrap her fingers around his wrist but couldn't do it. Dropping him, she moved to take her sister's wrist, forgetting that her sister should be respected more than that.
"All of you are freakishly thin." Amadi mused, raising a brow.
Imani let out a giggle as she measured her wrist against her sister's. "They say a best way to choose a male is if he has thick wrists. You know what they say about big feet and big hands." Her black eyes were lit up mischievously.
Amadi only looked confused. "Wait, what does that mean." Imani let out embarrassed laughter and hid her face behind Shetani's shoulder.
(She could xDD)

Honestly, those words were the last thing Shetani expected Imani to say. But it was still nice to see her sister have the confidence to joke around. The young leader felt a laugh fill her and she bent over, laughing still especially since Amadi seemed so ignorant. "Imani!" Shetani said through her laughs, maybe lulling her head back to rest against her sister, maybe, as a sign of affection. "Poor Amadi! Imani, how cruel!" Maybe after a moment or so she calmed down, the occasional chuckle filling her. "Poor poor fat Amadi.." Not that Shetani would mind, guys. Maybe, if Cloudy wants, seeing as how Amadi took off his mask, maybe Shetani lifted her own- she didn't take it up completely- to wipe away the tears that had formed from her eyes from laughing as much as she had. Aw, Amadi could see the cute little spots on her face. Such cute.

Amadi, despite himself, smiled because of the laughter, and then he frowned. "I'm so terribly confused. Do I act offended or laugh along?" His eyes lifted to Shetani's face. She was probably the only other face he had seen in his entire life. The spots in her face had attracted his attention, and he took a studious moment to read her expression and her face. It was a wonderful face. But how could he know for sure? What if something was ugly, and he only thought it was wonderful, because seeing new faces was quite wonderful. "Tikani, I'm curious, what are those dots?"
Imani fell away with her giggles and peered under her sister's mask. "I have them too." She looked at Amadi. "They're a skin disease. By the time we're thirty our skin will fall off-"
"Oh for Cadoc's sake!" Amadi breathed. "I thought you were serious and I was feeling beyond horrible because I pointed it out. Would you stop teasing me? Both of you?" He smiled at that, and Imani started laughing again.

Another laugh filled Shetani, especially because of Amadi's reaction. It really was nice to have everyone joking around. "Imani, you're so mean to him," she said through her laughter. And after a moment or so, her laughs faded into quiet chuckles, her purple gaze flickering up to him. "Mm, didn't I tell you? We turn into spotted hyenas so it's not really uncommon to have spots in our regular form." She also had some on her upper arms and sides but that would be weird to point out. But then she snorted, another softer laugh filling her. "A skin disease.. We should've left you with that and you would have believed us." She shook her head, a smirk curling back onto her face. "Poor poor gullible Amadi."

"Oh yeah," Amadi's brows popped up. "I don't have spots. But leopards are spotted. I didn't think about that. And you two are mean. I'm only gullible because I don't know anything about your customs." He smirked lightly and shook his head. "I should have told you that the tribe my mother is from were cannibals, and my mother left because they wanted to eat me." He leaned back carefully, smirking at them.
Imani still laughed quietly, feeling honestly better. She still wouldn't return to her hut that night. "That's my job now, to make everyone else's life miserable."

"Mm, such a mean older sister I have," Shetani mused, perhaps lulling her head back to rest against Imani if Imani was still behind her. Shetani smirked again, lifting her head to look at Amadi. "I could see why, you're fat." Another laugh. Poor Amadi.. "Maybe we should have told you that we eat the males of our tribe and that you were next. That would have been fun." Oh Shetani, so immature. Hard to believe she's a leader. "Have anything else to say about the fat little leopard, Imani?" Don't worry, Amadi, she was only teasing you when she called you fat. It was easy to tell because she smirked mischievously when she said it.

"No," Imani mused. "My job is done. He looks miserable enough." She pushed herself to hide more behind Shetani, but then she settled and stayed there. She felt safe there.
Amadi rolled his eyes and smirked lightly. "You would miss me too much." He glanced at Shetani when Imani wasn't looking, it was a look of approval for her trying so hard to become friends with Imani. It seemed to be working. He let out a yawn and smiled happily at the two of them. "I'm glad all is well, but I don't think it would be a good idea to stay out all day. People will probably get worried, or at least suspect something."
"Probably not," Imani said quietly. "I sneak out a lot anyways. Or I use to. I don't know about Shetani..." She grasped her beads tightly and fingered them nervously.

Shetani's smirk vanished and she snorted, pulling her knees up so she could rest her chin in her knees. "But I don't want to go. Besides, I'm sure if anything happens, our dear mother will be more than happy to take care of it. She likes doing her job." Poor Shetani, she wanted to stay with Amadi and Imani. In the little cave, they could laugh and smile. But out there, she was the leader and she had certain responsibilities to take care of. Despite her never wanting to be the leader and still having no intention of it, deep down, Shetani knew she had to. But not yet. "I think I'll just stay here," she said lazily. "Yeah, I like that idea."

(Ignore all the parts about Imani's thoughts because cloudy doesn't know anything)
"Hey," Imani said lightly. Sadness filled her eyes and she pushed her mask into Shetani's back. She wanted to tell her sister that their mother was just trying to be helpful, and that Shetani shouldn't say it like it was a bad thing, but no words she said could get Shetani to understand. She didn't understand that their mother cared for Imani when she started seeing things that weren't there. She didn't understand that their mother went through so much caring for Imani and helping her overcome her difficulties. She didn't understand that beneath the mask, their mother could hold a kind smile and share a laugh when her crazy daughter struggled to find the point in life. She didn't understand. "Hanging out with us isn't that bad, is it?" Imani said instead of defending her mother. Her voice just barely hinted teasing.
Amadi rolled his eyes, "Dear Cadoc, it's torture, but I sort of have to, seeing as I can't run away." He smiled at them and then the smile lifted into a small grin. A dimple hinted in his cheek, a promise that if they got him to smile brilliantly, it would fully appear.

But Shetani didn't know the mother Imani knew. Shetani barely even knew her mother. At least, that's what she'd tell someone. Getting off the subject of her having to leave to perform any of the duties she was supposed to made the young leader relax. Her smile returned and her gaze once again drifted over to Amadi. "Please, you'd just get attacked by more monsters if you were able to get away," she mused. "So I guess it's a good thing you can't." Dina is running out of things to say she is sorry.
