Seraphina led wordlessly, simply following which ways felt safe- not that any really felt safe at all in a place like this- but it was best to maintain a bit of a level head in this situation.
Khalida followed suit, adjusting her swords in her hands as she tensed.
Before their eyes a man walked into place, his dark gray suit striped with navy blue, a white tie hanging neatly from his neck. He walked slowly, leisurely, as if he didn't have a care in the world. Signature pink eyes swept over the group from behind glasses with the tiniest hint of amusement, his lips puckered into the shape of an o as he faked surprise.
"Oh, why hello there~." he greeted with an interested note to his voice, his long black hair falling away from his face as he tilted his head, turning his gaze completely to all of their faces and raising a brow. "Colour me surprised...I hadn't expected any company- in this run down building of all places...Tell me, dearest Bondmate, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit? You haven't seen me in many years- and to see you standing here is just...Awe inspiring, honestly. I remember the days when your hair was longer and I can't help but imagine how beautifully long it would have been now had you not cut it. I will add you are a sight for sore eyes- and these...Surprising changes in appearance and choice of friends is...A bit distasteful of you. I should have instructed you to keep better company." he asked, eyes locking with Khalida's mischievously.
She felt frozen in place, her blood stopping its flow and paralyzing her. His gaze had sent shivers throughout her body but even through the spike of fear she received she attempted to stand strong- and stay silent.
"Hm. Still not speaking with me, I see. Pity." he sighed and shifted his gaze to the back of the party, taking note of Calix and then a tab on Drexel. He hadn't seen or recognized a single trait from either of their features...Intriguing. So dear Khalida had made some new friends...How sweet. She even brought them home!
Perhaps he could learn a bit more about these friends...
Well, the ones he didn't know that is. He could study the one he did know a little better.
"And the legendary danger right before my very eyes! Dearest Seraphina." he sighed with a false sense of relief on his face, a fake happy smile pulling up his lips as he out stretched his hands toward her. He didn't step forward and instead dropped his hands with a sigh. "It has been many, many years since I've been blessed with your presence. I would say you've grown- but you honestly haven't aged a day it seems. You're still as vibrant as ever. I would comment on more of your surprising appearance- but you do have a weapon drawn, I might add. Not that it's frightening, it's actually quite adorable...your attempts at appearing threatening with this tiny group of children is almost admirable. Pathetic, but admirable." Rorik sighed, but Seraphina blocked the way to prevent anyone from passing.
She wouldn't let any of them dive into the mouth of the beast. Not while she was still alive that was.
Her eyes lowered into a glare as she listened to him- but nothing else changed as he continued on.
"Nonetheless. Reunions cleared from this heavy air between us now, I must ask. How is the king? The mightiest of us all...Has he sent for me? Or is this the option to slay me that you've waited for? If that is the case- I've done nothing worthy of his wrath- so he can call his bitch home at any time. As lovely as your presence is." he added the last part sarcastically, his voice taking a note of acridness.
Seraphina's lips curled back into a snarl at his words, her jaw clenching in anger. If any of them were to brush past her now- it would be easier with her distracted- and before she sprung towards him to attack.

This man had long hair. It was disgusting. Calix hated long hair. He hated it so much. At least his hair wasn't red. Calix's eyes narrowed on Rorik, but his bones felt soft. This man was powerful, like Rucian and Callaghan. His stomach twisted. When Rucian's eyes flickered over to him, he felt his body want to quiver in fear, instead he kept his gaze free of emotion. Instead, he aimed the arrow at Rorik's chest, the dead center of it, but he waited for someone else to make a move. This man sure liked to hear himself talk...
Drexel snarled. His light emerald eyes lighting up with fierce anger. "Don't speak to her!" He roared, his anger taking over him once again. He tried to slip past Seraphina, but had been blocked. All of his muscles tensed in anger, and his eyes burned with rage. This guy was going to die. There was no other choice. He had to die. He was going to die.
Time to die.
Drexel took advantage of Seraphina's distraction and rushed past her, roaring in anger. He whipped his bardiche through the air, aiming the sharp metal end towards Rorik. No use just using the other end. His eyes were filled with the intention of murdering this man. Using all the techniques he used training all these years, he fought. Twisting around, he used the momentum to try and cut Rorik. All his blows were meant to be deadly.
It wouldn't be hard now, to see Callaghan in him, especially with the way he moved, and his looks.

Rorik turned his gaze to Drexel with another faked look of surprise. "Oh my. And whom are you to make such orders? Did you stake a claim on my Bondmate? I'm afraid you've gotten to that stage to only claim second place, whelp. Not only is she bonded to me but...Hm. Well. You'll find out soon enough." he gave a sigh and stood still, waiting for Drexel to get closer to him.
If he were anyone else with a lesser memory, he would wonder where he knew these movements and looks from. But as Rorik, the scientist to remember small details- he already knew. Callaghan.
He shifted out of the reach of Drexel's bardiche, avoiding it only half an inch away- his smirk growing. "Bondmate of Callaghan? Hmm...You're just as slow as he is."
Pink eyes shadowed with a sinister lust for knowledge, an excitement appearing upon seeing Drexel react so strongly, he was enjoying mocking him- enjoying the reaction.
"Shame...But I won't end you...I've too much to...Interest to let you go. Well then. Let's get this over quickly then, yes?" he asked politely and with lightening quick moves he pulled out his weapon and struck against Drexel's attacks, paying attention to the way he moved and struck forward to easily predict. If he was able to- or able to sense the gracelessness in Drexel's movements combined with his anger- he would begin to avoid and strike back to subdue Drexel- aiming to knock him out.
Seraphina- who was preparing to strike after Drexel had, held back for a minute, unable to pass by him and get to Rorik- but she waited for the opportunity eagerly, her whip ready in her hand.

Anger broke across Drexel's face and his mouth turned down. "That's the thing," he snarled, "Khalida doesn't belong to anyone." It annoyed him to no end that Rorik could escape his blade. If he were sensible, he would of offered a plan where all four of then attacked Rorik at ones. Anger didn't make him sensible. A long time ago, when he was younger, he remembered Callaghan catching his shoulders and squeezing hard, which hurt. "You can't ever fight a Royal, or someone a lot older than you. Do you hear me?"
His voice had been desperate, a break in his usual cool manner. "Wh-Why?"
His eyes had become darker. "Because no matter how much you train, they will train that much in their years. They will always be better than you. And you can't defeat them, so please, Drexel..."
Swallowing, Drexel let out a sharp laugh, his eyes narrowing on Rucian as he readied for his next attack. "If I am as slow as Callaghan, I take that as a compliment. Because now Callaghan is very fast. You need to get out more. Instead of breaking backs," Rage once again filled Drexel's face, "and killing bondmates. And violating the rights of others!"
Righteous speech, maybe, but when he dove into his next attack, Rorik seemed to guess all his moves. It wasn't too late to see Rorik's attack coming, it was too late to try and move. His anger broke away and guilt, fright, and sorrow filled him for a moment.
An apology to Callaghan if he were paying attention to his emotions. The world slipped away. He didn't even feel his body slip to the floor.
Calix immediately saw the opening and let go of his arrow, aimed for Rorik's chest so he would have a harder time to dodge. But right then, Calix knew he wasn't going to be any help. Rorik was strong, fast, and smart. If it came down to a battle just between him and Rorik, he would lose. No question about it. His only hope of survival would be to run. Except, he couldn't just leave the others.

Seeing Drexel fall had certainly stirred something within Khalida. It melted her paralysis and immediately she jumped passed Seraphina toward Rorik, her own fury melting the frozen pink in her eyes.
"I won't let you ruin him too!" she screamed and leaped toward him to strike with her swords- but Rorik had her fighting style and movements memorized. Having studied her for so long, it was only natural, and he quickly avoided it.
"Tsk." he sighed and caught her wrists, forcing her swords out of her hands and dodging the arrow Calix had sent his way as well. He cast one sinister gaze up to they fledgeling before turning his attention quickly back to Khalida.
Tightening his hold on her and forcing her arms to bend toward her body, her hands touching her own shoulders, he smirked down at her.
"You should know better. Honestly." he sighed and with one swift movement he slammed his head into hers, which pulled a yelp from Khalida.
A bit disappointed, Rorik sighed. "Well then. Screaming will have to come later.." he muttered as he slammed her against the wall with his forearm, making sure this blow would knock her out as well.
If he wasn't used to the pain, he would have winced. But as a man of experimentation and fighting he'd gone through many a times in pain- and this was nothing.
Letting her body slip to the floor, he turned to the other two, opening his arms wide with a wicked grin.
"And who's next? Is it the Kings bitch? Or the the new piece of material I can scribble all over?" he sighed contently- to which Seraphina sprung forward at.
"That is enough!" she hissed and her whip lashed out, wrapping around one of his hands with a loud crack.
A chuckled left Rorik as he glanced over at it- grabing a hold of the whip before she could pull it away to pull her toward him.
Out of fear, she froze. Like a child, she stared up at the beast as he glanced down at her.
It wasn't long until she joined the others on the floor- and Rorik's attention was on Calix.
"Shall I scribble now or later?" he cackled, raising an eyebrow at Calix.

Calix stared down at them and then up at Rorik. "Y-You know," his legs tensed, and he drew another arrow, the missed one dissolving and reappearing on the bow. "I'll check back in next year. When everything isn't booked up." He let go of the arrow and turned, running away with just as much speed of the arrow. He ran back the way they came in, slamming into the wall as he took a sharp turn. His heart hammered unevenly in his chest. As it turns out, I'm not a liability, only scared to death. He quickly tried to pick up his speed again, but his legs were shaking with his fear. His heart nearly exploded in his chest when he reached outside.
Maybe he could run back and tell Rucian, and then Rucian can take care of him. They will be safe.
He wasn't even going to try and go to the car. That would only waste time, plus he can't drive.
His foot dipped into a hole in the ground. The momentum of his speed caused his foot to twist in a sickening way, and he hit the ground so hard skin had to of been rubbed off. He rolled and then let out a gasp if pain. "Fuck!" Calix tried to push himself up, but his foot caused blinding pain to shoot through him and he fell again. This was pitiful, really. Like a classical scary movie where the stupid girl in the bikini with the big boobs got caught by the evil guy. He crawled forward, refusing to let the tears that pinched his eyes to fall.

Rorik, a bit agitated to have to chase after this whelp, sighed. He walked slowly, leisurely. He didn't have a care in the world- without thinking clearly the child would never be able to escape.
As a master of recognizing emotions within every person- he knew fear when he saw it. And that young man was scared down to his bloodline. For a moment, he wondered if his bondmate could feel his fear- and if they would get in the way..
Nonetheless, it was easy to find the boy. With the tiny word of profanity released from his lips and the crawling- Rorik couldn't help but laugh.
"Got you~" he sang and grabbed Calix's ankle, beginning to drag him back to the building carelessly. It didn't matter much what happened in this stage- nothing harmed would disrupt the tests for later. Besides, screams were such a lovely sound...
"You know, I don't think I've ever seen you before...Who was your previous Bondmate? Are there any traits you inherited from them that may distinguish you? Or are you a plain joe?" Rorik asked as he shoved Calix back into the building, beginning to drag him and Drexel's unconscious body into an elevator just around the hall.

Calix's teeth clenched tightly and fear filled him to the marrow. His teeth chattered, and he felt his shirt crawl up from the dragging. He tried to twist, glaring up at Rorik. "I'll tell you that both of you have disgustingly long hair. I've only known one man who can pull that off and that's Rucian." He glanced over at Drexel, worry filling his eyes for a moment. Being smart for once, he quickly untied his bow and then put it back into his seal, deciding it would be best not to lose it. He then wondered if it would be worth it to fight. Probably not. Rorik could easily knock him out. At least he'll be able to know what happened.
Maybe he should be the good prisoner. "My previous bondmate was Marcellus. He was a pompous ass bitch. He died about twenty years ago. I'm a plain joe. I didn't get red hair from him, and his eyes were more green than blue." He gingerly tried to keep his other ankle off the ground, pressing his lips tightly together.
When they were in the elevator, he sat up and wiped off his back and corrected his shirt. "What are you going to do with us, exactly? I mean, Rucian will execute you if you do anything to Seraphina. Callaghan was already very angry with you, already. Not helping my case here, but I just met my bondmate today, so I won't bring any big bad and scary people here, but those two you should probably let be." Maybe he could... talk Rorik out of hurting Drexel and Seraphina. "Fresher than Khalida too. I'm only two-hundred and something years old."

"Hm. So you aren't just a plain joe then. If you call the King by his name you're far from it- I should have known, actually. Seeing you with his personal bitch should have been a dead giveaway. I can't be blamed though, in all honesty any who come with her on these expeditions of death end up dead anyways. It wouldn't be surprising for him to send canon fodder with her off to their death." Rorik shrugged, keeping his eyes forward as the elevator moved down.
It had no buttons that were visible- no lights to indicate the level that they were on- but it was noted it went a long way down.
"Marcellus...I do recall having met him." Rorik nodded.
He'd met the fool once. He'd wanted to live forever- payed a large sum of money for Rorik to create a way for him to continue on living- and nothing less. He was of no real use and was a simple annoyance to Rorik, yet he had tried.
"He was a fool." Rorik added after a minute, before flicking his gaze over to Calix. His eyes were bright with amusement, shining with interest- but it was by no means innocent.
"What am I going to do?" he gave a big, all tooth smirk before turning forward. "Whatever I want, whelp."

Calix felt curiosity prickle him when Rorik seemed to know Marcellus. No one else seemed to. Two men that I hate. They probably were lovers. His heart quivered. Rorik knew, and he wasn't playing his card right. Pressing his lips tightly together, he rolled his eyes. "I met the guy a couple days ago. Marcellus never taught me how to summon a bondmate. He thought I was going to die before him. At least the ass taught me how to make a bondmate on his deathbed." It was easy to act so confident, but his heart skipped and sped through his chest.
It was hard to breathe. "I barely know him. If you notice, I'm in my pajamas. I never meant to come to this parade."
Calix tried not to show his fear, but it was hard. He was afraid of Rorik for a whole different reason, unlike Rucian. Anything he likes. He was going to die. "You're a sadist." A shaky breath left him and his eyes narrowed up at Rorik. "You think you can beat Rucian and Callaghan? You might have taken us out, but you played with everyone's weaknesses. Just let Drexel and Seraphina go, buy yourself some time, and I'll become the perfect little torture device for you."
Gods, he knew that wasn't going to work. He pulled his swollen ankle towards him and then ripped off the end of his pajamas, and he tightly wound it around his ankle, tears prickling his eyes. At least now he wasn't focused on his fear. If he thought about it, he was going lose the ability to breathe, and his heart would stop working. "Doesn't whelp usually mean when puppies are born, you know, you whelp them?"
