"Gods," Drexel growled, "I hate him." Then he paused, his mouth drying. He didn't... no. He didn't, did he? He said aroused. His whole body instantly prickled in disgust. If this man tries to touch me... Pain? Drexel pressed his lips tightly together and then tried to look at Khalida. His heart nearly tore with the guilt inside of him. He put all of this onto all of them... It was all his fault--
No. It was Rorik's fault.
"P-Please t-t-tell me," Calix stuttered. It felt like his entire body was melting into flames of embarrassment, "Th-that aroused means something other than what I've acquired to know it as."
Instead of playing Rorik's game, Drexel automatically decided to play his own games. "Well, I don't know what game you plan on playing, Rorik. But I don't really swing that way. I hate to break it to you, but I'm not interested. Now," Drexel talked in a sweet voice as if he weren't the one strapped down and was baby-talking Rorik, "why don't you undo these binds and I could make you sing your own song."

"Oh. How pitiful. Embarrassment in the face of science is simply an insult, my young poster child." Rorik grinned and lowered his gaze at all of them, "I mean what I say. Don't worry your pretty little heads- if you comply there will be no pain."
Upon hearing Drexel's comment, Rorik almost rolled his eyes- almost. Instead he settled on another wicked grin. "Then pick a female." he waved his hand over to the two girls. "I'd love to see what you would do with either of them, whelp. Your Bondmate didn't exactly have the best track record with females. So I can't imagine the lack of proper examples you've gotten- he couldn't even find it in himself to keep his dearest one close to him to keep her from danger-"
"You shut your damn mouth you sick fucking bastard." Seraphina snapped, growling sharply and interrupting him. Rorik just smiled and stood from his seat to walk over to her "You don't get to bad mouth Callaghan like that- you're just a twisted, sadistic ass face who can't comprehend a damn thing about anyone else. You're incapable of anything other than destruction- I would pity you if I didn't despise you." she spat.
Rorik's face was still as she spoke- his smile sick and winding wider as she spoke. His pink eyes flashed with an alien thought- his mind receiving a high from making Seraphina snap. Yes, emotion. To stir it up from those guarded so tightly was truly a wonderful prize.
"Is that so?" he held back a laugh, "I'm honored to be considered so deserving of your loathing. Oh, tell me, does your darling Rucian allow this? Did you have to ask him permission to despise me? Or would he rather you pity me?" Rorik spat back, his words poison.
Khalida, who knew it was better to just not say anything at all, couldn't help but want to tell them that talking was useless. He would just antagonize and rip the signature Verengeith mask right off of their faces. It was his game- making them erupt with emotion- it satisfied him. Empowered him. Despite her own blush at the thought of Drexel choosing a female as Rorik suggested- she couldn't help but wish he had put them back to sleep for this part. Tests would be so much easier if she wasn't awake...But no...He wanted them to be awake for some sick reason, wanted them to 'document the experience' in their brains.
If it was at all possible to hate him any more than she already did, she would.
Still, she watched defensively as he leaned closer to Seraphina, his face inches away from her glaring gaze. Gods damn him if he do much as lay a finger on her- no, if he lay a finger on any of them! She'd have his head for that. He was not allowed to touch them, not allowed to even look at them! He could do to Khalida what ever he wanted- but the others he had to leave alone.
She knew it was better to say nothing, but the next words falling from his lips enraged her.
"I'll save the worst pains for you. All of you. Just so he and the others knows that I can touch whomever and whatever I want- and they can't stop me." he smiled devilishly, his impish grin casting shadows all over his face.
Why couldn't she scream at him? Why couldn't she summon any words to threaten him? He was her Bondmate after all- she of all people should be able to scream at him. She was used to this, all of this.
So why was she still scared?

Disgust rolled through Drexel in waves. It always did whenever it was suggested that Callaghan had a sexual life. He cuddled with that man, and even occasionally took baths with him (with towels on). He didn't want to think that his older brother could do anything along those lines. He did well to disguise his disgust, but before he could say anything, Seraphina was screeching at him. He narrowed his gaze on Rorik, waiting and breathing.
Choose a female? It was more than obvious who he would choose. Even as old as Drexel was, he held his virgin card with a firm hold. Sure, there had been those random females that had found him attractive at those parties that Rucian held, and he shared a few kisses here and there, but his kiss with Khalida didn't compare to any of the others.
She would never compare to them. In fact, she was-
Stop thinking these thoughts, Drexel scowled inwardly. If he continued to, he was helping Rorik with no problem. Immediately, he tried to cut off his thoughts and think of everything disgusting that he could, at least until he heard Calix ripping at the binds on him.
At first, Drexel wondered if he were having a seizure, but then he saw the set determination in his gaze.
Calix had watched Rorik, pocketing information that he let out to know how to deal with him. But he couldn't contain his anger. No. Rorik shouldn't be able to touch Seraphina, or any of them. He stopped and breathed heavily. Why did he feel like it would help if he directed the attention off of Seraphina? It wouldn't. His skin felt scraped raw from trying to break free.
"As much as I enjoy your company," Calix shot Rorik a cold look, but fear exploded in his chest and sat down on him. "Can we get this over with?" He didn't want it to happen, really. In fact, he would love it if they all could keep distracting him, but that meant Rorik making more threats, and him irritating Drexel and Seraphina (Calix wasn't sure about Khalida) or frightening Calix even more. Khalida's gotten out before, right? So that meant the experiments, maybe they...
Maybe he would let them go?

"Now, now." Rorik growled and turned toward the two boys. "Let's not get hasty. For my studies to be complete it will take a while...But enough beating around the bush. From each of you I need a sample of your genes. Sperm from the men, eggs from the woman. The woman will be the easier subjects to extract what I need from them- I can do that part very much on my own- and as much as I am neutral in the cases of whom I study on gender wise, I'd still rather not immediately touch a man. I will if I have to, though." he cast a sickening glance to all of them. His eyes swept from Drexel to Calix to Seraphina and finally to Khalida, his gaze lingering for a fraction of a second more than the others.
His smile grew as he walked behind them and out of their sight, strolling causally from one end to the next, his fingers trailing along the tops of the beds, brushing the edge with his gloved hands. "Of course, I won't completely make you humiliate yourselves- although it could be one hell of a bonding activity for you all. I will put you all into your separate rooms until the extractions are over with. Go ahead and give a little goodbye to everyone. You won't be seeing them for a while..." Rorik teased darkly as he took Calix's table and wheeled it around a corner or two into a bedroom. Once he set it up in the right place, he would shut the door on his way out, only offering a 'I'll be back to instruct you.'.
Seraphina wanted to yell- but her voice had crystallized in her throat, frozen in fractals along the lining of her esophagus. No sound came. She was met with silence from within- and even her ears had begun to block out the string of noise echoing from Calix's bed table and Rorik's mouth.
What kinds of tests was he planning, exactly? Even just the thought of him touching her made her sick- he wasn't supposed to touch her. He wasn't allowed to! Only Rucian and another were allowed- but that second unnamed person was not Rorik. Rorik was cruel and sick and evil- she wanted to rip him into pieces, wanted to hear the sound of his flesh ripping from his muscles and the snapping of his bones beneath her finger tips.
Only wishes. Only thoughts. These moments of wanting to murder Rorik in rage passed through the ice sheet of fear now coating her entire body and evaporated. She was helpless. She didn't have her whip. She could try and summon Rucain- but what good would that do? He would arrive here with Callaghan- if with anyone at all- only to be in the hands of Rorik...She couldn't do that to him. Never would she drag him into this mess...This stupid, stupid mess...She did her best to shield the fear quaking through her body, to hide it from Rucian. If he had felt it- he already knew. Did she even want to attempt to feel what he was? She could probably already guess..Anxiety. Anger. Regret. Fear.
Khalida said nothing, closing her eyes as she remembered the test he had done before. What could she even offer to the others to reassure them? She couldn't tell them that they would be safe or fine, Gods only knew what he had planned for them. Telling them it would be over soon was idiotic. How could she convey a message of peace in such a frantic time? The turmoil would surely be enough to shake them, but she knew each of them to be strong in their own ways...Wait...
That was it. One message. Two words. She could only hope she didn't sound stupid saying them...
The glass dragonflies clung to the messy braid in Seraphina's hair as she shifted her head, closing her eyes and keeping her gaze forward into the blackness. If she were any younger, she would have let the sadness wash over her, let herself drown in the sorrows from within- but she was no where near young. Seven hundred years she had had to control herself, to learn the ways of a Verengeith, to be strong-
Strong. Be strong. The words had sounded only briefly- a silent whisper among the three that were left- and hopefully carried to Calix.
"Be strong."

How come he was being wheeled off first? He couldn't help his quickening breath, caused by fear. For a moment, he wished he were unbound so he could curl into a ball and hide. Instead of looking at Rorik, he closed his eyes and tried to pretend he wasn't there. Be strong. How could he be something he wasn't? His eyes cracked open, just in time to be slid into the room. Gods. It really was going to happen, wasn't it? Rorik was going to force him to do this.
Instruction? Calix watched Rorik leave. Gods, this was going to get worse, wasn't it? Sperm. His heart sped wildly and he tore again at his binds as soon as Rorik left, grunting and letting out a small cry of frustration and anger. He finally forced himself to calm down and clenched his teeth tightly, finally letting a few tears escape his eyes. The heat of his tears were as hot as his cheeks.
As soon as they escaped, he cursed himself and wiped them away on his shoulders, forcing himself to take in shaky breaths and calm down.
Drexel clenched his teeth tightly. Of course Rorik would take Calix, the youngest first. He would torture them all with that, forcing them to see they had no control over what happened. Poor Calix... The boy had complete horror on his face when Rorik suggested what they were suppose to do. Anger twisted inside his chest, but mostly desperation. Be strong? They would all have to be strong.
Her voice was so sweet to hear. Closing his eyes, he was able to calm down. That's what he needed, to be calm. And strong. Taking in deep breaths, he pushed away fear, and uncertainty. What refused to leave was guilt. It tore inside of him.

Seraphina's gaze flickered to the disappearing Calix- a hole forming in her gut that was horrible to imagine what would happen to him. She was the oldest- she was supposed to protect them!
Great job she was doing so far..
As soon as he was gone, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Hate stirred under the thick ice of fear- but not enough to break through it. Was she shaking? Or was it all in her head? She felt centuries younger with this fear- quaking in her skin. Gods she had to get a hold on herself.
Khalida didn't even flinch when Rorik had taken Calix away. She knew he would- the youngest of them all to go- the baby to test on and make the rest worry. The poor kid was probably never going to ever forget this for the rest of his life- they'd all be bearing new wounds. They'd all be newly broken...A feeling they could never fix...
She should have stopped Drexel. Should have forced him out of the drivers seat- should have given him the wrong directions. Should have-
No. No. This wasn't his fault- this was the mistake of each and every one. Her for letting him go, Seraphina for provoking this, Drexel- but she couldn't find the fault of Calix. Maybe for not running when he had the chance? That seemed cruel...It seemed to cruel to blame any of them, now that she thought of it.
Rorik returned to haul Drexel away this time, jerking the table forward with the tiniest intention to make it's rider jump. Childish and immature, yes, but Rorik enjoyed spooking those he didn't like. Drexel, like Seraphina, was on that list- mostly due to association with Callaghan and his overall attitude toward Rorik. He found him annoying and distasteful- but this wasn't anything personal.
Not that he would give away what it was, however. A tiny smile lifted his lips as he pushed Drexel into a separate room from Calix, locking the table down to the floor and tightening the binds before he left, flicking off the light on his way out.
Maybe a little personal.
Seraphina couldn't help but cringe at the sound of Drexel's cart being hauled away. He would return soon. She had to say something to Khalida- leaving in silence would be unforgivable- but even as he came and began to wheel her away words were still locked deep in ice.
It wasn't long until Rorik returned to the room Calix was in. With a little sadistic smile he waltzed in and shut the door behind him, his pink eyes flickering up to Calix.
"What was your name again?" he asked as he took out a clipboard and fixed his gloves, pulling a pen from his pocket.

The sudden movement did make him jump, but he used the movement to snap his head up and pull on a smirk. "Hey there, Rory. You know, this is kind of fun. Want to give it a try? I'll try not to run you into any walls. Hell, I'll even bind you so you can feel how fun that feels, too. So, is the real reason you killed Callaghan's previous partner was because you were jealous?" His eyes turned icy with his playful sickness. "I mean, I acquired my good looks from Callaghan, maybe you're just having sexual fantasies right now. Too bad I'm more mouthy than him, right? You-" And the light turned off.
He laughed. Leaning his head back, he laughed. It was unsteady, as if the laughter came from an unstable part of his mind. After he was sure he was alone, his lips trembled and he closed his eyes. Instead, he focused on the bond and when he opened it, the feelings transpiring in Callaghan shocked him. Quickly, he shut it out and stared into the darkness. So, Callaghan was finding a distraction while he was gone. Relief flooded through Drexel. He must have met someone to inspire such feelings--attraction and happiness. Maybe this person could help Callaghan with Drexel's disappearance.
Calix gulped and let out a shaky breath. A part of him felt like lying. "Calix." He spoke quietly. Thank gods his voice was naturally soft. He had a difficult time raising it, and mostly the entire time that he had been with Rorik he's never really raised his voice. Raising his voice often hurt for him to do--yelling, that is, for a long amount of time. It hurt to eat anything after he yelled like that, but it's been a lot of time since then.
"Two-hundred-and-forty-eight, I think, male, five foot eight, last time I checked--scratch that. Two-hundred-and-forty-seven." There. Calix stared at the ceiling. "I don't know my blood type. I've been sick seven times. Three times before I knew I was what I was a verengeith." Letting out a long sigh, he pressed his lips tightly together and his stomach jumped. I never had a sexual relationship with anyone, and never even been kissed. Not even by my own mother or father. So, how about you let me go. I'm a sad virgin puppy.

Rorik simply raised an eyebrow at the stream of information he was receiving. His smile never faltered and continued to pin up his lips, even if his eyes took on tones of their own through out listening to Calix.
"Useless. Most of the information you just blurted out was useless. Now, before you go spewing out other nonsense of a back story, I need to know if you are active sexually as of currently. Have you ever had a doctor check you for any sexual diseases as well?" he asked and began scribbling down on the clipboard if Calix spoke. If not, he waited for him too.

Calix hit his head back on the table, then he half had the idea that if he were able to hit his head hard enough and knock himself out, if Rorik would leave him alone. Probably not. His cheeks burned brightly and he stubbornly remained quiet, pressing his lips tightly together in his defiance. After continuing on with his defiance, he let out a long sigh and held back a whimper. "I-I... I've never been..." Gods he couldn't say it.
A sigh left him and he closed his eyes. Rorik was going to run out of patience. That fear drove him forward. "I'm a virgin. And no, I've never have gone to a doctor." His hands clenched into tight fists and he focused on that, tightening his fists.

Rorik wrote more down on the clipboard wordlessly, making no sounds, no remarks, nothing. Pure silence.
He could say he was a little surprised- a boy like Calix being how he was for over two hundred years was a little surprising- but he didn't know about the others just yet. Callaghan's Bondmate could be just as surprising- but with his attitude it wasn't hard to believe.
"Well then. This might be unpleasant on your end, then. I need a sample- as I mentioned before. You will have to get me that sample yourself, and put it into this cup." he lifted a clear plastic cup for Calix to see. "Some of the bindings will be removed, but the door will be locked and if I find you have gotten up- well...if that happens then the next test you will go through will be excruciatingly painful." he sighed and glanced at Calix.
If Calix complied, Rorik would undo enough of the binding for him to be able to do what was needed- and then Rorik would begin to leave. "I will return in an hour. Please have the sample ready by then."
(Youdon'thavetowrite him getting the deed done XDDDDD once Rorik visists Drexel we can skip if you want XDD))
