With a deep breath, Timothy said, "There's n-not much to say... but... um..." Get it together, Tim. "The results say that... you..." His heart dropped into his stomach and then melted most of his courage--if he had any at this point. "It says you're my father." Standing, Timothy began to pace, rubbing a hand over his younger face as he did. Now... now he found him, right? He found his family. But... it wasn't at all how he imagined it to go. None of it was.. and... he didn't even exist to his father. A sigh left Timothy and he raked his fingers through his hair. What if Gabriel didn't want anything to do with him? That was still a possibility. It... probably would happen.
Walking over to Gabriel, Timothy dropped the paper beside him, and quietly he said, "You can have someone else read it off if you don't believe me."

For what felt like the longest time, Gabriel did not speak. He did not move or bother to open his eyes. He focused on only his breathing. But the revelation was too great to ignore. He had a son. He had living family. But surely that was just one more body to put into the ground, wasn't it? "She- your mother- hadn't told me she was with child when I left," the ancient man finally spoke, voice soft and wistful. "Do you think things would have run a different course? Had I known?" Another pause. Gabriel finally opened his eyes as his head tilted towards Timothy. "Now that you know, what do you plan on doing now?"

"I-I don't know," Timothy took in a deep breath and he glanced up at Gabriel before resuming his pacing. "I mean... nothing would have changed if you had known. We still would have been kidnapped, and-" Timothy came to a stop and reached down to massage his leg, even if his leg hadn't started aching, he could feel the phantom pain of it. "I'm sorry, I... I haven't talked about..." Timothy glanced up at Gabriel and said quietly, "S-Sir, I'm sorry... I am sorry but.. m-my sister, y-your daughter..." Swallowing thickly, Timothy ran his fingers through his hair. "She was married, and... they had children, but..." Timothy stared at the floor. "She was... she's dead." Dead. Timothy rubbed his hands over his face and shook his head.

He had already suspected, hadn't he? Gabriel closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. But at least she had lived long enough to get married and have children of her own. Were they still alive? Or were they dead too? "Stop. You don't have to tell me anything else." The ketsuki sat up, pulling the covers off of him. "I don't know what you plan on doing now, but there's someone I must return to. Come along, if you wish." The child hopped off the bed and went to gather his belongings. Sure, Gabriel knew the nurses wouldn't appreciate him moving around, let alone trying to leave. But he had to get back to Malcolm. And maybe spend the rest of his life hiding away.

Timothy watched Gabriel get up and couldn't help but raise his brows. Come along? Alright... Someone. Who else was in Gabriel's life? Swallowing thickly, Timothy walked over towards the door and opened it for Gabriel. "S-Sir... you wouldn't mind... if I... perhaps..." He glanced to the side, trying to push past the shyness that had suddenly burned in his chest. "Tagged along with you, for a bit? I-I... see, I've been... I've been searching for you for quite some time... and..." His mouth was dry and it was hard to swallow. "I understand if you would... rather I left you alone."

This child... Gabriel bit back the childish urge to roll his eyes. "I said come along, didn't I? I suppose I can't tell my new found lineage to leave, especially if you've been searching for me." Gabriel, having gathered his supplies and his sword, which was now humorously about his size, made his way towards the door. "Right now, I would just really love to get back to the hotel and sleep.." His wound throbbed painfully as the drugs began to wear off.
If Cloudy wants, maybe the hotel wasn't too far. And despite Gabriel's size and exhaustion, he made his way back without submitting to asking Timothy for help. He only relented when he realized he was too small to read the braille. He was probably too small to open the door.. "Here," the ketsuki grunted, pulling the card key from his pocket and handing it to Timothy. "The room number is 204. I'm too small to read the braille."

Timothy hadn't said a word, probably, since the hospital. But there were so many things he wanted to ask Gabriel. Taking the key card, Timothy nodded wordlessly and looked around for room numbers. After walking down the hallway a bit, Timothy found the room, but paused when he glanced back at Gabriel. He was about to ask something, but instead he closed his mouth and opened the door.
Almost immediately, Malcolm flew off the bed and dashed towards the door, his heart rising into his throat. He stopped dead when he saw Timothy. Panic filled him and he wondered if something happened to Gabriel, had he died? What happened to him?
"Oh..." Timothy stepped aside so Gabriel could walk into the room. "Who... who is this?"
Who are you? Malcolm's wide eyes fell from Timothy and onto Gabriel. His face squished into confusion.

Gabriel made his way to Timothy's side before trying to squeeze into the room. "Malcolm, I'm sorry I took so long... Well, as you can see," he grunted, motioning down at himself. "Things hadn't quite executed how I hoped and so I spent the night in the hospital." The ancient ketsuki set his belongings and sword that he had practically been dragging onto the ground beside an empty chair before making his way towards his bed. With great effort, he was able to climb up and duck under the covers. Gods, his side was practically screaming now, causing him to wince as he settled down. "Malcolm, this is Timothy. He's.. also my son. But please, don't ask so many questions. I just recently discovered this for myself." Gabriel sat up, his brows folding at a sudden thought. "Were you able to eat? I could order you something, if you want."

Malcolm covered his mouth with his hands, in utter and complete shock. He watched Gabriel move around and didn't even move to fold Gabriel's clothes for him--that's how shocked he was. Instead, he watched Gabriel crawl into bed. With a quick glance at Timothy, Malcolm ran towards the bed and quickly scrambled onto it so he could take Gabriel in his arms and hold him. "No..." Malcolm said quietly, "I'll wait for until after you rest..." He rested his cheek on top of Gabriel's head and couldn't help but smile.
Timothy awkwardly stepped into the room and set the key card down. He glanced up at Gabriel and Malcolm and then cleared his throat. "Well, sir, I'll go see if I can reserve a room for myself..." He looked at the door. "I-"
"Why isn't staying? He's your son, right?" Malcolm piked up, and looked at Gabriel then to Timothy. "Why wouldn't he stay?" Little Malcolm didn't understand the concept of awkwardness between father and son. All he knew is that if his father were there, he would be with his daddy as long as he could. "Do you not want him to stay?" Malcolm gave Gabriel a confused glance.

Gabriel couldn't understand why they needed to keep talking. He wanted to sleep. "He can stay or go where ever he wants," the ketsuki said in a tired voice. "Although it would be a waste of money to buy your own room when there's a perfectly good vacant bed in this one." Despite himself, Gabriel couldn't resist the urge to lull himself against Malcolm. Poor baby Gabriel hadn't had anyone to cuddle with for a very long time. He was too tired and in too much pain to resist it. "Stay if you'd like.."
