"Zach?" Chance raised a brow and glanced over at the boy who was now disappearing through the trees and then started walking after them, hoping Mimi would follow. "What happened to your wrist? Is everything alright? We'll get it looked after right away. How did you escape, by the way?" He looked around, shooting glares at the place. "We should burn it down, really. What happened?" He needed these answers.
Zachariah sighed in the comfort of the trees. "There's so many people, Aidan. I haven't handled so many people in a while." He smiled slightly, walking through the trees. He sniffed the air, searching for a river so that they could follow it back to their campsite. "Plus Chance. That guy back there that hugged Mimi? He's scary. I remember him when I was younger."
Amy followed after Damos, smiling brightly. She raced ahead of him. "Doggy, this way! Let's go to Uncle Zachy!" She hurried to follow after Zachariah. When she found him, she ran into his legs and hugged them. Giggling fiercely, she smiled bright up at Zachariah, who grinned down at her and then ruffled her hair.

Mimi sighed, a bit reluctant to answer his questions. She had a feeling that her answers would only serve to antagonize Zachariah even more. Though, it didn't seem that she had much of a choice. She glanced over at Chance, clutching her injured wrist. "Yes, Zachariah. Long story short, he's Jeremiah's twin brother. And he found me out in the forest, about a day or two ago." Her gaze shifted from Chance to Zach and she felt her eyes soften. "Anyway, a couple stumbled across our camp and begged us to help them." She gestured to Amy who had caught up to Zach by now. A smile tugged at her lips as she watched Zach and the girl.
"While we were in there, one of the traders helped us to escape. But I think he was being controlled by some drug that they use to keep them in line. I tried to break out of the cage by myself, but well..." She held up her wrist to show what had happened.
Annabelle slowed down so that she was in step with Mimi and Chance. She herself was mildly curious of the details in question, though she would have preferred to have waited until everything had calmed down to ask. Still, she didn't mind knowing. She bit her lower lip, wondering if she had anything back at their hotel to help with Mimi's wrist. She was sure that going to have to splint it after popping it back into place.
The owlet glanced at Zachariah, listening with intent curiosity. As Damos and Amy approached he flapped his wings nervously, but stayed on Zachariah's shoulder. He felt much safer above the wolf that in the air. He eyed Damos with guarded eyes, watching as the wolf padded beside the girl. He could swear that there was a bit of a smile on the old wolf's face.

(I bet Annabelle has some of that alpha gene in her LOLOL She would at least be a Beta.)
"So there are two Jeremiahs, and one is named Zachariah?" Chance raised a brow, considering this. He acknowledged Mimi's other info, but he kept a sharp gaze on the shirtless male who now was clear into the forest. If they were walking like Cloudy assumed they were, then they too were enveloped by trees. Even if he did not really appreciate Zachariah, he had to admit he was alright with kids. Especially with that owl, which was obviously smarter than a regular owl and most likely was an anigma or something.
He slowly glanced down at the wrist and was filled with tight anger, though, being around Mimi for so long he had learned to wrap that anger up so that she wouldn't be burned by it--or in fact, any other emotion that might disorient her. "A drug? I've heard of that, actually. Especially from Rose--who worked with Kevin." He glanced behind him, seeing a young man emerge and head a different direction from them, making sure to rub a shirt and jacket on anything he passed. Smart.
Zachariah smirked down at Damos and continued to walk, which had Amy giggling as she clung onto his leg. "Damos," Zachariah mused. "Chance doesn't like me. Is there any way you can eavesdrop on their conversation and tell me if he plans to kill me? I at least want a head start to runaway."
"Can you sing a song? I forgot the song my daddy likes to sing! Can you?" Amy looked up at him.
Zachariah paused for a moment, considering the danger. If anything, they were better off singing now, and probably a lot more protected, too. He didn't know who that other girl with Chance was, but he bet that between all of them, they would be safe. A bit shyly, he started singing a song that he used to sing while working on his blacksmithing.
(And in case you were wondering:: I chose a random song written by Lakeman Seth called Blacksmith's Prayer XDDDDD and here are the lyrics if you're curious: )
My fire extinct My forge decayed By the side of my bench My old vice is laid My anvil and hammer Lie gathering dust My powerful bellows Have lost their thrust
Hearts now cased in steel To a blacksmith’s prayer I will kneel
Those burning sparks They scorched the dirt They lit the sky And fell to earth I smelt and forged Fused and bent I dug the core Now my years are spent.
(Which, of course, isn't all the lyrics, but oh well I didn't want to flood the post XDDDD Icouldn'tthinkofanythingelsesorry)

(Lol probably, though her grandmother was more an alpha and Annabelle never crossed her)
Mimi bit her lip, but nodded. "Yeah, more or less." Even if she could not feel Chance's emotions, she knew that he was not pleased with Zachariah's presence, nor his appearance for that matter. She'd known him long enough to catch his subtle looks, or in this case glares. She sighed, actually allowing herself a bit of fatigue to wash over her. She hadn't realized it until a short while ago, but she was actually bone tired. She felt like she was in a daze, just following along blindly. She wouldn't be surprised if she ended up walking face first into a tree. The soothing sound of Zachariah's song didn't exactly help her case either.
Gently, Annabelle tugged Mimi's shoulder so that she was leaning on the older woman's shoulder. The werewolf was surprised by Mimi's lack of resistance and wrapped her arm around her for good measure. "Don't sweat it kiddo. I know you're tired. It's been a long day so just relax and I'll guide you okay?" She glanced up at Chance, giving him a sharp look. "No more questions until we can get her to sit down and relax."
A rough chuckle rolled in Damos' throat and he pressed himself against Zach's other leg, reassuring him that there was no danger. Though he paused mid stride to glanced back at Mimi. His ears flattened and he sent a bit of alertness her way. Not knowing what else to do after that he simply trotted to catch back up with Zachariah.

(LOLOL OhAnna...)
Chance's face softened and he finally gave Mimi a smile. "Alright, I'm sorry for bugging you... I'm so happy you're alright, Mimi. When Damos came to us and you're weren't with him... I thought I was going to puke. I was so worried... I'm glad that you're alright. More than glad..." He let out a breath of relief and began to allow for fatigue to pull onto him, weighing on his shoulders, but then suddenly remembered they weren't safe, not quite yet.
Zachariah finished the song and then reached down, carefully lifting Amy up. He let out a groan, wincing when his pain from the wounds he received the other day. Amy wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on the opposite shoulder that Aidan was on. Zachariah then stepped into a river, carefully making his way through it. He glanced behind him and immediately regretted it because he met eyes with Chance. Clearing his throat, he continued to walk against the stream, back towards their camp.

Mimi glanced over at Chance, a tired smile tugging at her lips. "I'm sorry, Big Brother." She leaned heavily against Annabelle's shoulder. Despite Damos' alertness that he sent, she was still tired. She wasn't quite sure of the reason why she was so weak. As she walked she let her mind wander back over the events, trying to figure out the source of her fatigue. She eventually chalked it up to all the excitement so soon after her recent recovery, not to mention her lack of food. Though the thought of food still made her stomach do back flips.
The owlet moved slightly so that he wasn't directly touching Amy's arm. Despite his initial fear, he was still curious. He hopped up to the top of Zach's head and leaned over so that he could see Amy's face. He cooed curiously and rubbed his head against her head.
Mimi glanced up as they approached their makeshift camp. She allowed Annabelle to led her over to the edge of the lake, where she watched the older woman gather some of the cold water in a small rag. She glanced around the camp, looking for any sign of Amy's parents. She didn't spot their meat from the earlier. A frown creased her brow. Where did the meat go? There was more than enough for the pair of them for the time they had gone.
Annabelle glanced up from her minor medical attention to Mimi's wrist. She caught her distant look and peered closer. "Mimi? Are you looking for something?" Despite the older woman's questions the younger one did not respond. She noted that even Damos was ignored when he padded over.
