Mimi could feel his excitement and it tingled underneath her skin. She felt her own excitement grow, but she was sure to shove it back down. Now was not the time nor the place to be doing such things. She put a finger to his lips. "Shh, I know. I trust you." A small smile curled the tips of her lips and she stuck her tongue out at him, like a child. "You started it." She felt heat flood her cheeks. "Besides, you're cute when you stutter." The concept of flirting was completely new to her, yet it came to naturally as she spoke with him.
His touch left a spark of electricity on her skin and she gasped, never quite getting used to it. "Of course, anything for you Zach." She felt her eyes begin to droop as she let herself be led to the tent. She eagerly crawled in and made room for him to lay beside her. She folded up her shawl and fashioned it into a pillow for him. She patted the space next to her. "Well come on then, Sir Cuddles. It gets awfully cold in here with just one."
She shook her head at him, motioning for him to join her. "Don't give me that. I just want to be near you and a cover between us is not being close to you." She pulled back the blanket and slid under, tucking her feet under her body. She held the blanket open and waiting for him.

Strange, it was, to wake up not in the cold as a tiger. Well, it was strange to wake up with someone else there anyways. Even after all those years of sleeping alone, his body remembered what it felt like to cuddle up to another body, and that's where he found himself right now. Zachariah shifted and slowly opened his eyes. A yawn parted his lips and he stretched. How long had he slept in?
He found his fingers habitually kneading the blanket and forced himself to stop. Slowly, he pushed up on his elbow and stayed there for a few moments. Tired, he rubbed his eyes to finally get rid of the sleepiness. Before he could get up much more, the need to stretch hit him. He collapsed back down and then stretched his arms up and arched his back. A satisfied moan left his lips as he stretched. He twisted and shifted, stretching all the muscles he could before collapsing.
A happy and smile lifted his lips and he rested his arms over his head. He lavishly sucked in a deep breath and slowly let it out. Now he sat up and carefully sneaked out of the tent. Just as he thought, he had slept in well to the afternoon. The sun glinted playfully on the water, tempting Zachariah to take a dip. Instead, he decided breakfast would be good. He went off to search for wood. He returned and built a small area for a fire and then worked on building a fire.
It didn't take long for the dry wood to catch, and as soon as it was growing strong, he took off his shirt and rolled up his pants. Because Cloudy is so unoriginal, he took out a knife and tied it to the end of a spear. Indian fishing. He waddled into the water and fish. He probably either did this a lot because he had little no money, or hunted in the woods. By the time he caught enough fish for all of them, he shivered lightly from the cold and at least a half hour had passed.
Cloudy apologizes for the lameness.

Nonoishcute~ Moonyissorryfordisappearingfortheweekend
For once no terrors haunted her dreams. For once she felt completely safe. A tired smile curled her lips back as she felt herself slowly coming up from sleep. Her theory had worked like a charm and she felt well rested. Mimi felt movement beside her and opened up her eyes. She watched in silent awe as Zachariah stretched. The resemblance between him and a house cat was uncanny, but was that really such a surprise? She closed her eyes again, savoring the rested feeling.
Once Mimi was sure he was gone she sat up and shook out her hair. Her morning routine wasn't as graceful as Zachariah's, but it didn't really matter. She was fully awake to tend to her morning routine. She clawed at the ground feeling a stretch in her shoulders work its way down to her lower back. She then leaned forward and felt the felt the stretch travel down her legs. Another shake and she sat up straight.
Damos poked his head through the tent flap with her hairbrush in his mouth. She smiled at him and reached for it. He jerked it back, causing her to miss completely. She smiled. "Damos." A wolfish smile appeared on his muzzle and he bent down in a play bow. Mimi lunged at him, completely missing again, and rolled in the dirt. As she turned she caught him by the scruff and wrestled the brush from him. She laughed as she felt Damos lick her cheek. Well now, looks like this old man still has some spark. Her laughter only increased as he playfully nipped at her.
Mimi stood and walked over to the water's edge, dipping her feet in. As she settled into her spot she waved at Zachariah, sure she looked rather silly with her unkempt bedhead. Noticing her frizzy mop she began to work on her hair.

Zachariah walked up to Mimi, a grin wide on his lips. In all honesty, he thought she looked adorable with her hair in a mess. He paused in front of her and motioned to the fish. "Is this okay? I forgot to ask if you liked fish. If you don't, I suppose we could save the extra for me for later, and hunt down some deer." A small blush filled his cheeks. "Did you sleep alright last night?"
Watching her fix her hair made him wonder if he should fix his own hair. He leaned over and stared at the stranger in his reflection. Reaching up, he rubbed the hair on his chin--mostly stubble. It has gone five days without him shaving, but his hair didn't grow that fast. "Maybe later I'll make an attempt to shave." He smirked lightly. That was another difference between him and his brother. He was about to comment about it, but then decided it was best if he didn't mention Jeremiah.
He lifted his eyes to her and leaned in to give her a quick kiss on the cheek, only because he was a pansy. "Good morning, Mimi." He then moved away from her and towards his fire with a blush. He sat down and began to prepare the fish. As soon as he finished, he stuck them all on sharp sticks and began to cook them. It was only then that he realized that he neglected to put his shirt back on.
Zachariah leaned back on his hands, waiting for the breakfast to cook, while he looked around for his shirt, trying to remember where he put it.

Mimi pulled the brush through a handful of her hair. She eyed the fish hungrily, but the thrill of a hunt made her skin tingle. "Fish is fine, maybe we can hunt deer together tonight. It will be good to actually catch something big." She dipped the brush into the water and brought it back up to her hair. Her smile from earlier returned and she moved on to another part of her hair. "I slept great. Thank you, for asking." She paused, lowering her voice. "And, thank you for staying."
She giggled as she watched him rubbing his chin. "You look nice with stubble. I bet you'd look even cuter with a beard." Despite herself, she blushed at her comment. She went back to fixing her hair, doubling back on parts just to keep busy. Though the kiss caused her to stop. Her whole face was on fire and she felt the heat tingling on her skin. She stumbled over her own morning greeting.
As he left she continued to fix her hair, despite it already being done. She stared down at her reflection. It was almost strange to actually be looking at herself. Her skin seemed to be brighter, for the most part, and overall she looked much healthier. For a moment she allowed herself to wonder how much longer she could have lasted if Zachariah hadn't shown up. She shook her head. The answer was simply: not very long.
Something caught her eyes on the bank. She glanced over to she Zachariah's shirt. With a renewed spring in her step she hopped up and grabbed the shirt as she headed back over to the fire. She laid down on her stomach next to Zachariah. "You really should cover up before you catch a cold." She dangled his shirt between them. "But, I kinda like the view."

A blush spread Zachariah's cheeks at her comment. Then a smirk curved his lips as he reached out to take back his shirt. "Now who is the peeping tom?" He teased before pulling the shirt on. Though, the fabric was thin. If he really wanted to prevent a cold, he would have to locate his jacket. At least the fire already dried up most of his legs and a bit of his pants. He reached up to scratch his chin, thinking of her earlier comment.
"A beard?" He chuckled with a slight blush on his cheeks. His bright teal eyes fell to the fire. "I don't know. You can imagine the first time I actually started growing facial hair. I was so shocked." A grin lifted his lips. "It took me a while to get the hang of shaving, but I kind of have it. I still hate to, especially since most of the time I prefer to be a tiger." He lifted his face to watch the sky. "Funny, I use to be the exact opposite."
That was true. He use to hate his cub form, only because people called him cute. Now he preferred his tiger form, only because it seemed more comfortable that way. "I suppose it could be because I am not good at talking to people." A small smile lifted his lips, and he shyly glanced over at Mimi. "You were always easy to talk to." He blushed and glanced back at their fish and checked to make sure it was cooked. "Well, easier."
Zachariah handed the fish over to her and took another out. "There is some for Damos." He took all of the fish off the fire and rested them somewhere that they wouldn't get dirty and then he took his own fish and took a bite out of it. While chewing, he found himself staring at the water. If only it was warmer. The fire warmed him well enoughc but he missed the summer. At least, Zachariah thought wryly, people tend to cuddle more in the cold.

"But I-" Mimi's cheeks reddened. "I didn't know you were there, but you know I'm here." Despite her embarrassment, she couldn't help but smile. She glanced at the food he gave her and eagerly bit into. Not because she was hungry, but because she needed something to do least she make even more embarrassing remarks.
She glanced up at him, trying to picture his face when he was younger. She smirked as she imagined his reaction. "I can only imagine." She shifted, trying to be a bit more comfortable on her stomach. She remembered when she started to become a woman. It certainly was much easier with Annabelle around, but the whole ordeal as a whole was, shall we say, memorable. She bit into her fish, glancing up at Zachariah. "That so?"
Damos finally decided to join the pair and settled himself beside Mimi. She handed the food to him and he gratefully bit into it. He's respectful, I'll give him that much. Damos eyed Zachariah from afar. As much as he hated to admit it, he was indebted to the boy for saving Mimi from herself. But that didn't mean he had to like it.
Mimi nudged him playfully. Aww don't be mad Damos. He did help us out of a really nasty situation. And you can't even say that you had it covered because we both know that was a situation in which only he could have helped. Damos snorted and shook out his fur in dismissal. Mimi shook her head and turned back to Zachariah. "Easier huh?" She finished off her fish. "Yeah, you're not so bad yourself."

Zachariah blushed. He turned so he could face her more easily and watched her closely. "I wasn't staring," he threw his free hand in the air. A grin lifted his lips and he quieted his words with a bite from the fish. He decided to leave it at that. Placing his hand back into the grass, he leaned back and sat in a comfortable silence. His mind wandered, along with his eyes as a lot of thoughts about nothing flickered through his brain; most of it was literature. Poems and other quotations ra through his head.
As he reread them, internally, he found himself somewhat happy and completely. Literature did that to him. "There is one poem I can never find the true meaning of, no matter how much I dissect it. I was tempted to ask Chase, but by then I was far gone from them." He realized his words were sudden, and he hoped he didn't throw her off too much. He spoke:
"I have eaten the plums that were in the icebox
and which you were probably saving for breakfast
Forgive me they were delicious so sweet and so cold"
Laughter spilled from Zachariah, he couldn't help it. "I don't get it. I hate that damn poem, but sometimes I can't get it out of my head." Finished with his fish, he put the stick aside and leaned only slightly forward to examin Damos. His brows twitched together slightly and he said, "What is he saying to you? Does he not like me? I could of sworn you use to like the cub version of me. I guess I don't really know.."

Mimi giggled but decided not to push the matter. It was clear either one of them could have been considered 'peeping toms'. Though she was still convinced that he saw more than he let on. That alone made her blush. She shook her head, trying to clear the thought from her head before Damos could read too much into it. Her eyes wandered about the tree line, looking for nothing in particular. She took a deep breath but felt her breath catch. At this point it was apparent that she was not going to get comfortable laying on her stomach any time soon so she flipped over. With a groan she tried to inconspicuously soothe her growing discomfort by folding her arms under her chest. She heard Damos snicker and she frowned at him.
Sucks getting older doesn't it? His toothy grin only made her scowl even worse. Sometimes she hated having to share literally everything with another being.
She was tempted to shout at him but she opted for mental silence and slowly pushed herself up so that she was facing the lake again. She paused in her vain attempts to settle down to listen to Zach's poem. She blinked, completely lost yet impressed by his knowledge. "Wow, that was..." She stared at the ground searching for the right word. "very nice." Her cheeks burned at her lack of vocabulary. Compared to him, she was just a pup.

(NOOO it's gorgeous, sorry my post is so short and lame ;~ "I lost you, didn't I?" Zachariah smile came out sad and a bit embarrassed. "I'm sorry." His eyes danced to the side and an uncomfortable prickly feeling washed over him. Embarrassment flushed his cheeks and he ducked his head and ran his fingers through his hair. Unable to keep still, he stood up and shoved his hands in his pockets. Trying to shake off his shyness, he walked around. "Psyche hathos? I keep forgetting. Well, not forgetting, just forgetting that it's all an open book to you... right?" Zachariah forced himself to stop and looked up at the clouds. It took a lot of determination to calm his heart, and even longer to shake away the shyness that plagued through him. His eyes danced over to her and he cracked a small smile. "Where are you heading? Did I already ask that?" Her arms wrapped around herself normally wouldn't be all that distracting, but she wrapped them just under... those. A sudden sense of awkward fell over him and he scratched his chin, glancing away.
