Imani stood with her feet braced and her hands on her hips. Her face was turned towards the gorgeous sight--a sight that she once thought was hers. Now it belonged to her sister's. Used to running around the caves often, she wasn't out of breath. When Areus spoke, her strong stance broke and she crossed her arms, glancing over at him. "Oh, yes," Imani let out a small giggle. "Everything done here is made out of rock. We have rock clothing, rock beds, and..." She shook her head, laughing lightly still. "I'm sorry, you wouldn't know. No, our beds are quite comfy. I can't show you, because I look crazy enough in front of them."
A breath left Imani and she glanced back at him. "How are your injuries? You said you wanted exercise, so I sprinted for you."

Despite Imani teasing him, Areus could only find it in himself to laugh lightly along with her. "Well, I wanted to ask, just in case." His smile widened at her concern for him. "I was able to keep up, wasn't I? Don't worry, I was trained to handle anything. Well, almost anything." He tilted his head to the side, glancing somewhere far away, reminiscing. "When we were younger, they'd make us run non stop.. Even if you were tired or collapsed from exhaustion, you'd be punished if you didn't keep going." Wow, way to kill the mood! The warrior winced. Before it was too late, he turned to her and spoke again quickly, trying to change the subject. "Hey, is there anywhere else you wanted to show me? I can still keep going," he mused. "And I'd rather explore than sit in that room, trapped."

Imani's lips parted to comment on making children run that much. Granted, their own training could be harsh at times, but Cloudy didn't entirely know. Instead of answering, Imani allowed Areus to change the subject. "You have a really narrow mind, you know that? This underground place is huge..." She reached out to grab his hand, unconsciously, but immediately she realized what she was doing and she snapped her hand back, holding it to her chest. "Uh, um.. this way." Turning on her heel, she scurried away and tried to fight the blush filling her cheeks. Why did I do that!?
Pushing out a deep breath, she forced herself to push away her embarrassment: He's not real. He's not real...
Swallowing, she began to walk more quietly while trying to listen for any potential females walking around. She didn't think that it would be the case.

Areus was caught off guard by the sudden insult. He bit down on his lip, biting back the urge to shout, Narrow minded?! You're the one who doesn't think I'm real! But the warrior fought off his anger. She didn't deserve that.. "Sorry," he chuckled instead, turning to follow her. No, Areus hadn't noticed her nearly reaching out to take his hand. Lowering his voice, he went on. "It's just that I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that this is all down here." Areus smirked lightly. "Well, if you're so much more open minded than I am, then what do you think is up there?"

"I'm not... I guess..." A blush filled Imani's cheeks and she poked a few glowing stones on the wall before glancing over at him. "I guess narrow-minded was the wrong thing to say. It's just, you probably assume there's not that much down here, which is a very logical assumption, I guess. But I, on the other hand, think there's too much out there. I think... I think I would be afraid staring at the big sky... it would make me feel small." A giggle left her. "Smaller than I am." She walked more slowly before glancing over at him again. "I just see a lot of trees out there, but you didn't come from a place like that, right? There's another tribe that lives in the forest, and another in the mountains... I guess it would be really cool to see those things. I never really thought about it before..."

"Well, someday, maybe I can take you up there." He laughed softly. "I guess we both need to learn that the world is bigger than we thought.." Him more so because he didn't think anyone lived underground. "Please, continue with your tour. Are there any major water sources around here? Like a lake or something?" And so the curious little cub returned, ever inquisitive about Imani's home. "Where does your tribe get the metals we trade you for?" Poor Areus bit back anymore questions he had. He felt like a kid for asking so many, but he was somewhere new and exciting. With a girl too. Even if she didn't think he was real, it was still a step.

Imani continued forward, stepping carefully. A brighter smile lifted her lips and she pushed up her mask, looking back at him so he could see it. "We mine for metals. The underground is rich of them. Along with some other crystals, and even diamonds. My favorite, though, are the crystals that light up on their own. Come on... there's a really cool temple. We don't know what it was used for, though. At least no one who I asked knew..." She took a turn and made sure that Areus was following her.
"As for water sources... it's kind of natural for water to condense underground. We have a large river that is rich and full of fish, so that's where we get most of our food from. There are some other things... my favorite, though, is when we trade meat with other tribes. Fish get kind of boring after a while." Imani stepped into the old temple, quietly she said, "This is Kuharibu Temple..."

The warrior was about to comment on Imani's information, but his words died in his throat when they arrived at the temple. Despite eeriness of the temple, it wasn't enough to to stop Areus from slowly venturing inside the old structure. He walked slowly, cautiously, taking in the sight of the deteriorating structure. "Do you know who built it then?" Areus inquired, pressing his hand to a rotting column. "I can see why no one comes here... This place has a dark eerie feel to it.." Areus stepped away from the column and ventured further inside, but not far from the entrance. "We have these barrows, these small hills, we bury the dead in. Some people said there were some there before we were." He smiled lightly. "Then I would have nightmares about the dead creeping out of the hills, that kind of stuff.." Vaguely fearing that the old structure could cave in at any moment- but not showing it of course -Areus made his way back over to Imani.

Imani smiled, "That would frighten anyone, really." Her eyes rested on the structures. "We don't know who built this place or why. I used to come here when I was a weird teenager and I would pretend that the people I saw were actually ghosts." A smirk twitched her lips and she reached forward, poking Areus' chest. "Wouldn't that have been cooler? I used to hear voices in here, which is why I always came. I used to be able to face my fears. I also was foolish and believed I was indestructible, but I've been taught differently." A sigh left Imani. "But I suppose you don't want to listen to all my craziness." Taking back her hand, she stepped out of the old place and walked down another path.
Imani glanced back at him. "Areus, if you saw one of my episodes..." She pursed her lips, looking down. "I wonder how you would deal with it."

Her words stopped him. His brow perked, though his bronze mask hid that. "What?" Areus didn't want to ask her to elaborate on what she meant. That was for her to tell or keep secret, but the word wasn't foreign to him. His sister had mental problems as well and while he was no expert on the matter, Areus had seen a few before. Despite her words, he couldn't help but smile lightly. "Trying to scare me away, huh? It'll take a lot more than that to frighten away a warrior as strong as me." Oh how he wanted to step towards her and take her hand, but then he would frighten her. His tone softened as he turned to fully face her. "I'm not sure, but I wouldn't think differently of you, if that's what you're worried about."
