The elders probably watched in shock, slowly processing what was happening. By the time Kiviuq took a step forward, somewhat trying to figure out what was happening, a guard had already reached the two men. She grabbed the back of Sakari and tried to pull him off Keelut.
If she was successful, Keelut scrambled away, holding up his hands. "It's alright, Sakari, you've been infected by the mo-"
"Shut up," Eska snapped at Keelut. "Quiet."
The guard tried to calm Sakari down, "Hey, I know you're mad, but it won't help anyone of you go shit crazy..." She shook her head, her brow folding. "Plus, who is going to search for him if you're locked up by the elders?"
One of the two arrows landed in the creature's eye, making it let out a terrible noise that shook the forest. The other lodged itself into the creature's head. Pana took this moment to finish the creature off. He slammed what was left of his spear into the creature's skull, where the arrow had pierced it, and the skull cracked.
The creature let out one last terrible noise before falling to the ground. Cloudy doesn't know if they dissolve or not. They probably do.
Pana fell away and covered his face with his arm, gasping. He struggled between trying to get away from Kiya's sight and the wound on his side. He didn't get away far and collapsed onto the ground, holding his side. Shivers ran through his body and he stared up at the sky in pain. At least his father got what he wanted. He was dying.

But Sakari was in no mood to be stopped. Through his anger, he tried his best in struggling, trying to break free from the guard. Only if Cloudy wants, perhaps, in his fit of rage, the shaman found his strength and lifted an elbow, hoping to hit the guard in the face. If this had worked, Sakari dashed away- not missing the opportunity to deliver at least one more punch to Keelut if he was able to- in hopes of setting out to search for Pana. But he was moving too slow and his bad leg screamed in agony each time Sakari tried running. But Sakari knew he had to ignore it. A moment later, a snow leopard replaced the young man, dashing away from the village as quickly as he could. He had to find Pana. He had to.
It took a few moments for the adrenaline and fear to die down. Cautiously, Kiya stood, though she held on tightly to her bow. "Why...," she started, taking a wary step towards Pana. "Why did you do that, Pana? why did you save me?" Kiya took another step forward, slowly closing the space in between them. "You bastard, I'm sure you would have been happier if that thing had gotten me, right? And you would have been happy knowing your useless whore was gone.." Despite the situation, it was so difficult to keep the anger in check.
Pana had tormented her for three years and here he was, wounded, at her mercy. Kiya pondered walking away, leaving him where he was, but she wanted to hear what he had to say, if anything.

"Ow," the guard huffed and slowly sat up, a frown pulling her lips. "Shaman getting physical-"
"Melina, please be serious in this matter," Apanu huffed. "We-"
"Set out a search party," Eska interrupted, glancing down at the guard. "Three groups of two or more. No one goes alone. I'm going after Sakari. Someone get Keelut under guard." He sprinted away from them for a few seconds and then melted into a leopard and then sprinted across the snow to try and catch up to Sakari.
Pana laid there, trying to keep his face shielded from Kiya. He wished she would just go away. Leave him to die. Why? Why did he save her? His eyes began to pinch with tears. His entire body felt sore, beat, and tired. His father's words echoed in his head. Monster!
If you ever come back, I'll kill you!
Pana's mouth twisted and he stared up at the sky. "Because..." Pana's voice held his tears and shook under the weight of them. "Because the world is better off with you in it. Not... not me..."
His eyes closed and he put down his arm to hold his side, trying to stop the bleeding. He wondered if it was worth it. Pana turned his head to her, searching her eyes for a moment. "Just go..." He closed his eyes. "Just go."

As a leopard, perhaps it was easier for Sakari to catch wind of Pana's scent. But even as a leopard, despite how fast he was running, Sakari wasn't sure what hurt the most. His leg- he probably wouldn't be able to move or walk around for some time- or the fact that Pana might be dead. Not even his attack on Keelut made him feel any better. Because if Pana was dead, then Sakari would have no one...
Cloudy can decide if Eska catches up to the gimping cripple or if Sakari should find Pana soon.
But Kiya couldn't bring herself to walk away, as much as she wanted to. I should walk away. He doesn't deserve my help.
I could have killed him before, but I didn't then. Biting her lip in thought, she remembered how she had the opportunity to shoot Pana in their hut, but she had fired at his leg. Kiya could kill animals, but not people. Suppressing the urge to groan in frustration, Kiya stepped towards Pana and knelt down. "Move your hands away," she muttered. "So I can see it." As she waited for him to decide whether or not Pana wanted herself, Kiya asked in a quiet voice, "Your dad.. He's the reason your out here and bruised up, isn't it?" Now she remembered walking in on Keelut slapping his son around. Kiya would help, but she still wasn't ready to forgive him.

Eska fought to reach his friend. Worry trickled into his mind and he wondered how badly Sakari's leg was hurting, or how much it would hurt. He... he never had realized how much Sakari cared for Pana. It obviously had to be a lot for Sakari to lose this much of his usual stature.
Perhaps Eska caught up to run beside Sakari. He didn't make a movement for Sakari to stop, but instead tried to pick up Pana's scent. For him it was harder because he couldn't entire differentiate Pana's scent out of those he picked up. He didn't know Pana well enough.
Pana glanced away, mixed emotions feeling his gaze. He never confessed to Sakari nor his father what his father did to him. He knew that they suspected it, but... It wasn't as if he were going to say it out loud now. "J-Just g-go," he shivered and closed his eyes, turning his head away. "I-I think... my body might be falling into shock. I would need herbs to..." Stop the bleeding. Help with the shock.
Something else. He could feel it curling in his veins. "I can't go back... or-"
Pana bared his teeth. "'m a m-monster... leave me alone. Let me die like the other monster did. Let the monsters die..." All he wanted was Sakari. In that moment, that's all he wanted.
Sakari.

Lucky for Pana, Sakari was not far.
It didn't take much longer for Sakari to finally appear, not with the speed he was traveling and the determination that drove him forth. The leopard was soon replaced with a young man that bounded over, falling to his knees beside Pana, ignoring Kiya as she hurried off to the side. "Pana, dear Cadoc, you're still alive!" The shaman doubled over for a moment, gasping for breath. "Pana...," he wheezed. "Pana.. I'm so sorry.. Sorry.."
When Sakari Sat up, he lifted a hand to gently run through his 'brother's' hair. "I'm going to take care of you now, alright? I swear I will. Please, tell me where you're hurt. I need to get you healed. Let me see.."

Eska transformed beside Kiya and grabbed her arm, looking at her with a bewildered glance. "You need to leave, before the others come, before the others come.." He looked around. "Where is Dusty? Kiya, what happened here?"
Pana stared at Sakari in shock, which quickly melted into tears. He was just a big baby, especially at the hands of his older brother. "I-I-" He lifted his hands and struggled with pulling off his jacket. "S-Sakari-" He exposed the ugly claw marks on his chest, his brows coming together. "I-I can't go back, I can't, I-I am a monster... H-He..." The wound was already looking infected, and probably sickly bruised with a black poison from the monster spreading into his veins. Cloudy doesn't really know. She's just guessing here. "I-I'm scared..." Pana whispered.

Kiya was rather startled when Eska had grabbed her, flinching, as it was still something she was uncomfortable with. "D-Dusty's fine," she started. "He's (out hunting/back at the abandoned village/whatever). "But I.. was out hunting and all of a sudden, Pana came crashing into me. And when I looked back, there was a monster attacking him.."
"Don't be scared, Pana," Sakari said in a soft voice. "Don't be scared, it'll be alright, I'm right here..." The shaman went to lightly pressed both of his hands to the wound and a soft glow emanated from them as he started to heal Pana. It was hard to bite back the tears that suddenly blurred his vision. He was sure he could save Pana- he had treated Tikani's wound as well as Amorak's- but he knew Pana wouldn't-shouldn't come back to the village. "You're not a monster, Pana.. You're my brother.. And I wish I had been able to protect you."

Eska winced when she flinched and pulled back his hand, murmuring an apology. He let out a breath and closed his eyes, feeling thankfulness wash over him. Safe. They were still safe. By tribal custom, he should be chasing her away and out of the territory. He wouldn't. "Pana saved you." He shook his head and sat back. "Cadoc. To think all of this could have been prevented if we took care of Keelut sooner." He muttered to himself. "But Dusty and you would have been found out..." But then again. Would Pana and Kiya have gotten along better?
He looked up at Pana, unable to glance away. Everyone always said Pana was a gentle giant. He glanced over at Kiya, wondering what she thought of it, seeing Pana in tears, looking up at Sakari like... Dusty used to look up at Eska himself.
Pana shook his head, "N-No," he shivered because of the cold and took in a shaky breath. "No. I deserved it, Sakari. I-I deserved all of it. Everything... I killed them. I killed my brothers. I-I pushed them off the side of the cliff, Sakari... b-because of me, th-they died... and my mother, my mother--sh-she died too, all because of me..." He shook his head. "I should have left long ago. I thought things might b-be different... it might be different if she was gone.. if I could just be with you, but it won't... it can't. I'm..." He took in a shaky gasp and he shook his head. "I... I always wanted a big brother who cared about me... thank you, Sakari..."

Despite Eska's glance, Kiya said nothing. There was nothing to say, at least for a moment. "That won't help any, will it? It doesn't matter now.. Think what you will, he's still been the biggest dick to me, even if you don't believe that. Even if I hadn't met Dusty, I would have left eventually. I didn't like living in constant fear." Folding her arms across her chest, Kiya turned to glance away from everyone. She didn't want to watch this anymore.
"Pana, please.. You're not a monster. Do you remember what I said to you before? There's no point in grieving those who wouldn't grieve for you. Your brothers chose their own fate." Sakari continued to heal Pana, but he was terrified it wasn't enough. He had no herbs and he wouldn't be able to get Pana to come back. Desperate, the shaman let out a shaky breath and glanced up, finally noticing Kiya. "Kiya!" He called, causing the huntress to gaze over. "Kiya, please.. I know you will never forgive Pana but please.. Please, I need you to take care of him."
That certainly ruffled her feathers. "What? You want me to help the guy-"
"I know what he did!" Sakari snapped. She winced and he let out another shaky breath. "I'm not asking you to forgive him. I just want you and Dusty to take care of him. Despite what Pana says, he doesn't deserve to die.. He deserves a chance to finally live and be free." Gods, it was growing more difficult to fight back the tears. "I'm begging you," his voice was soft now, desperate. "Take care of him. Please."
Kiya's brows fell and she whipped her head away from the scene, thinking. There was just something about the way the shaman begged for help that couldn't be ignored. "Alright," she finally uttered. "Alright, I'll bring him back with us."
Sakari let out a breath of relief, slumping over for a moment. "You will need herbs to help you heal," he whispered in a shaky voice. "You remember everything my father and I taught you, right? You remember all the herbs and what they can do?"
