"If I could, I would teleport us back so you wouldn't have to worry about learning how to walk again," the pirate quipped. "But this is fine, you staying like this. The room isn't far anyway. You know how they build these ships with the quarters all in one place." He paused for a moment before shrugging his shoulders. "Well, most ships. If you hadn't noticed, this isn't exactly the most exquisite vessel sailing the seas." Poor Marco. Maybe, if beautiful gorgeous wanted, maybe Claus was right and the room wasn't all that far before he came to a stop outside the door. It was still left ajar and from what Claus could see, it was empty. "It looks like everyone's gone," he muttered. "Do you need some help getting in and laying down?"

A small smile pulled Nikida's lips. He wondered if Claus appreciated their closeness, and his heart hoped that he did. "Marco's hardly on the radar, as far as I know. Or as far as the other pirates say." He smirked lightly at Claus' question and was tempted to be babied. Instead, he looked around them before kissing Claus' chin. "I might be able to hand that much." Carefully, Nikida let go of his husband and carefully made his way into the room. He leaned on the walls and paused, "Which is yours?" He pointed towards a bed that smelled most like Claus, then he scrunched his nose. "Why does it smell like bird, cat, and dog in here?" Then he shot Claus a glance. "And child?"

"Cat?" Claus echoed, his brows pulling together in thought. "I don't know where cat comes from. But bird probably comes from Albrecht's- Ah, the son of Letha's dictator. And his young daughter. Dog probably comes from Edmund's partner Rex and Charlot's dog." He took a step towards his bed before he sat himself on the edge of the bed. Even if Nikida didn't need the help, Claus offered his hand to his husband regardless. "This room is too crowded but I'd rather share a room with them than any of Marco's crew." Not that Claus couldn't handle himself against them. But he wouldn't if Marco decided to get rid of him. "'s alright though, they're all sleeping somewhere else now anyway."

A smile pulled into Nikida's lips. He gently closed the door and took Claus' hand. Like a needy cat, he grasped Claus hand and used it as leverage to toss himself against him, falling into his lap. "What a group you've gathered, Claus." Nikida purred. He gently butted his head against him. A purr threatened to break out in his throat, and he managed to smother it for the time being. "The dictator's son, some Edmund or other, and a child. And some Charbelle or something." He smirked softly and reached up to run his fingers through Claus' hair. "Tell me everything. How did you meet them?"

"It's such a long story, I'm sure you wouldn't want to be bothered with all those details," the captain said softly as he tried wrapping his arms around Nikida, trying lulling his head against his husband. "I met Edmund and Cyril while trying to sneak aboard Marco's ship and for some reason, I decided to help. We were stored away in the cargo bay for a while until Cyril's kid began to cry and we were caught. Of course that bloke Marco readily accepted them while barely tolerating me. And Charlot," he couldn't even say the man's name without hissing in irritation, "is a Resistance agent that I've had... dealings with in the past. I guess he won Marco over too because now he's Marco's right hand man."

Nikida searched Claus' face, gently running his fingers over his jaw and through his hair as he spoke. His stomach felt like warm jello. Being back in Claus' arms felt surreal, almost as if he would awaken at any moment. The soft tilt of Claus' words made Nikida's toes curl, and the hiss sparked a smirk on his lips. "Twats," he muttered softly. He ran his thumb over Claus brow, encouraging the small hairs to flatten. "The lot of them. This Lottie's probably helping the twat captain wank. That's why he like him so much." Nikida smirked and his hand trailed away from Claus' face to his shoulder, and down his arm. "Captain's allowed the dictator's son, granddaughter, some random man, and a Resistance agent on his ship. What type of sad bloke is he?" He leaned forward to place a kiss on Claus' chin. "You sound like you've had a lot of fun."

"I suppose there's some fun in being barely tolerated, isn't there?" The pirate murmured, his eyes fluttering shut from Nikida's soft gentle touches. "It's how things have always been." And like Nikida, Claus finds suddenly that his hands begin to wander. They attempted to re-familiarize themselves with the smooth planes of his husband's face, smooth planes he had only been able to see in his dreams. "I've missed you so much," Claus whispered against Nikida as he leaned closer to the anigma. "I can't tell you how much I've missed you. Nikida, how did you survive? What happened after they dragged you from your cell?"

Nikida, ((i'mguessing)), lay on his side with the bad side of his face pressing against the bed. The soft touches of his husband forced a purr to break in Nikida's throat, even if he shied away slightly if Claus' hand ventured too close to his eye. Before Nikida could mutter, "I missed you too" Claus' question stopped him.
His purr came to a slow stop and he sobered. "I-" Nikida started. His brows pulled together and he clenched his jaw. Ducking his head, he clutched onto Claus' shirt and stared down at his collarbone. "That day?" He whispered. His breath shortened. Fear seeded in his stomach, and cold dread pushed through him. His arms slid around Claus and he pulled them close to another, burying his face in Claus' chest.
Nikida tightened his hold, holding onto Claus as tightly as he could. He didn't want to talk about it. He didn't want to remember it. He never wanted to be in that situation again. Lamely, he whispered, "Cl-Claus, I-I-I.... I can't... I don't want... I'm not ready to talk about it."

"I understand," Claus muttered quietly because he did. Even if there was a yearning desire to know what had happened to Nikida and where he had been, the pirate wouldn't- couldn't -force Nikida. Whatever had happened hadn't been good if Nikida's scars were of any indication. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring it up." His own arms tried slithering around the anigma in an attempt to give him a comforting hug. "Can I ask where you went after that? Ah, but you said you didn't remember a whole lot.. How did Goddard find you and how long have you been with him?" Poor Nikida for being stuck with a pirate who needed to know everything.

A small smirk curved his lips. He pressed his face into his husband's chest. "Um... Goddard hadn't ran into me until fairly recently. I... was on land for a while. I tried seeking information about the pirates, about you, but I hadn't come across anything..." Nikida swallowed. "I... had given up for a while." He pulled back to look into his husband's face. "Then some fishermen found me and thought I was a pet, so I was on their deck for a while. Eventually I found myself of a low star pirate crew, those that dealt with trades, and... somehow Goddard found me. And here we are." He tilted his head thoughtfully. "When I heard you survived... I..." His brows came together. "I blamed myself. For some things. As I'm sure you probably blamed yourself for others. And..." He sighed. "I thought... it would be best if I didn't... seek you out. I had thought you would blame me, for not..." Nikida shook his head. "I'm sorry, Claus..."
