Once in the main room, Seraphina came to collect him once more but this time led him up a set of stairs toward another hallway.
"Welcome back, Calix." she gave a tiny, polite smile as she stopped in front of a door, opening up to reveal a large room. Despite the other old theme and feel to the entirety of the house, the room she had opened up to was fairly modern, complete with a television and a sitting area. "Your room is here, there is an adjoined bathroom with both a shower, bathtub and sauna. You can hang the ribbon on the knob to let the maids know not to come in to wake you up or clean- and dinner will be ready at seven. The King has requested many foods to accompany your tastes. Any questions?"

"Wow," Calix looked around. He gently set down his things and looked around. "Does this place have Wifi?" He looked back and forth and then looked over at her, making sure that his face didn't give away too much expression. "Wait, a sauna? The bathroom has a sauna?" After twirling around to see the whole room, he ran to the bathroom, just to peek inside. With his curiosity satisfied, he peeked over at Saraphina with a small smile on his own lips. "Th-thank you, Seraphina. Um, I don't really have anything nice to wear, in fact... my outfits are basically duplicates of this. Is this alright?" He waved down at himself, feeling extremely out of place in such a nice area.

Seraphina nodded, a smile creeping up to her lips at Calix's amazement. "Yes, Wifi is available. It's under 'Guest' and I can get one of the servants to get you the password, if you like." she chuckled and nodded once more, watching as he dashed to the bathroom and back.
"Nah, what you're wearing is fine. Dinner isn't anything too fancy, if you can tell." Seraphina shrugged and glanced down at her own dark jeans, green tank top and khaki jacket. "And I think you've broken the record for calling him by his royal title, by the way." she giggled and couldn't hide her smile any further. "Anyways, dinners at seven. I'll show you around a little after you then or now if you want. Its up to you."
With a shrug, she would wait for his decision. If he followed, she would lead him down to where Rucian was waiting. If not, she would leave him to his room to do whichever he pleased.

Calix blushed deeply, "I-I didn't want to not say it..." He walked over to his bag and shuffled through it before pulling out a comb. He checked his braids, and then he started to comb his hair. It bothered him because his hair dried wavy and with a lot of tangles. At least now he looked a bit better. Hopefully. "If it's just written down on paper, I'll be fine, the Wifi password, that is." After he was done, he slipped his comb back in his bag. "It's not that I really need it, but I don't know how long I'll be here." Calix pressed his brows together. "How long am I going to be here?" Quickly, he tried to wash the emotion out of his face. Usually he was so good at it. It must have been because he felt comfortable around Seraphina.
Giving her a nod, he stepped towards her. "I wouldn't mind looking around now, if you don't mind." Pausing, Calix winced and looked up at her. "Did I say it too much? He offered me his name, but.." Calix shrugged, "I don't like being disrespectful."

Leaning against the door frame, Seraphina observed Calix as he spoke and fixed his hair. "I'll make sure to get it for you then," Seraphina said calmly, watching Calix with interest, "Your hair...Did it take long to keep it like that? Did you braid it yourself?"
"Training varies from Verengeith to Verengeith. It took me a while to learn summoning but it could be easier for you." she shrugged and crossed her arms over her chest, "How long you'll be here is really up to you but you're welcome to stay as long as you need."
Standing straight as Calix approached her, Seraphina, "Sure thing."
Yet, upon seeing him wince, Seraphina gave another chuckle and shook her head. This youngling was amusing...Rucian had been right about that much. Perhaps she would enjoy observing his actions- or maybe even befriend him. He didn't seem half bad at all, actually, he seemed interesting enough.
"Alright, follow me then." she waved him along as she turned down the hall, beginning to show him around.

"Thank you," Calix nodded his head, and then paused. "Um," He patted his braids. "I hate taking care of my hair, it's a hassle. If I looked good with a shaved head, I would shave it." He gave her a small smile. "I'm impatient. At first I went to a hair dresser, and she did this to my hair. It's easy because I only have to braid my hair one time and keep it like this for a couple of days. And my hair takes a while to get greasy, so it's perfect." For a moment, he paused. "When I first got it done, I couldn't do it on my own, but I got it down now. I braid like pro now." He shot her a smile. "Rucian's hair, though. Even yours. It would drive me insane. Even looking at it makes me want to shave my hair." A smirk curled his lips. "I shaved my head once, and Marcellus was driven crazy. He said I was the ugliest thing he has ever seen. I said that I got my face from him."
Calix followed after her, shrugging. "The only place I ever stayed was at Marcellus', but I didn't stay too long." He blushed, speaking quietly, "So I don't know what's proper and what's not. I really am a mess," A long sigh left him, but he looked around at the halls. It truly was beautiful. "How old is the king? And how old are you?" He craned his head up, staring at the ceiling.

Seraphina nodded considerably, stroking her chin slightly as she listened, shifting her gaze up in thought.
"Ah, that makes sense. Ahahaha, I bet he loved that. He sounds like he was a prude." Seraphina chuckled and cast a smile toward Calix, "As for mine and Rucian's hair- it takes work. Typically I braid the bottom half of his after I fix mine but he gets stubborn and likes to wear it down- which just makes it dirty." Seraphina rolled her eyes and shook her head, muttering under her breath, "He can be such a handful sometimes.."
As they continued down the hall she would listen to his words, giving a nod every now and then to show she was listening.
"Proper?" she raised an eyebrow, a smile climbing on her face, "It's pretty much anything goes here, except when Rucian's got a business meeting or something. Then that's when stuff gets serious. We don't get many people who come and stay for a while, though, so this is sort of a nice change. Oh, by the way, this is the guest hall. Nothing too special here but at the end of the hall it opens to the main dining room, the sitting room where we chillax a lot of the time, the living room, the kitchen, the meeting room, the throne room annnd the back upstairs to the half where the King and I live. Unfortunately our upstairs is off limits. Sorry, fledgling." she chuckled and shrugged, peering at him from the corner of her eyes as they walked.
With a teasing smile she chuckled and pointed to the end of the hall as if the areas would appear, but it was more just reflex for her. She knew where they all were- it had been a long, long time since she'd had to show someone around...It almost made her keep smiling like an idiot. She loved showing young ones around and setting an example, being looked up to...But she was dreaming. All she was doing now was showing their guest around, nothing more.
"And then from the chillaxing room you can get to the garden, which opens up to the rest of the main lands for outside. There are some other connected areas of the house, but I'd stick to the main house if I were you, so you don't get too lost. Hmm...Oh, there's the training grounds which I'll show you after dinner, that's where you will be training with Rucian...Oh, our ages? Rucian is the founder of our race so he's the oldest. He's one thousand and as the first Bondmate I'm seven hundred years. Haha, I know, old right?" she chuckled and absentmindedly swept her fingers across a table as they walked down the hallway.

"Very, very prude," Calix muttered, glancing around when she pointed things out. He was most likely to get lost. King area off limits? So, basically the suicide zone. A small smile lifted his lips as he saw hers. She was very expressive, especially compared to Rucian, but even around her Rucian seemed.... happier. He supposed that was a good thing. To have someone like that, even just as a friend or a brother, maybe even a lover, that would be... less lonely.
His face became reserved for a moment, loneliness clutching his chest tightly. Never in his life had he ever had anyone to joke around with, or to go to in times of pain and sadness. He watched the floor, making sure to keep his face expressionless. More than anything, he hoped that he could at least be friends with his bondmate. "Business meeting?" Calix paled. "You guys don't have parties and stuff, right? I mean, I'm not a social person. You might just want to keep me in my house back there." He raised a brow at her. "Seriously, that's the nicest room I've ever stayed in, and I have stayed in a lot of five star hotels."
He let out a whistle, hearing their ages. "Three hundred years difference? I wonder who his first bondmate was-" He winced, "Just curious. Not that I would ask, just me talking out loud, I'm sorry..." Glancing down at his feet, he waited a few steps before looking up at her. "Can I visit the gardens whenever I want?"

"Parties? No. If we do, its at a different location and it's only every hundred years or so to celebrate Rucian's ruling continuing. But that was a few years ago so you don't have to worry." she waved her hand dismissively, shrugging, "Ahaha, well, did you expect any less? The King really loves to live in style haha. Of course, I didn't let him go too crazy with it. He wanted to make everything a lot more simple but I convinced him guests would be used to a lot more in the current world."
Her brows furrowed together at his choice of words and eventually she turned to him with a confused look, one of her brows raised. A chuckle fell from her lips and she shook her head. She had forgotten that not everyone remembered the story or spoke about it. Hmm...She wondered what it would be like if Rucian had had a different Bondmate before her...Would things between them still be the same?
"His first Bondmate? I'm guessing you don't know the story too well, huh? To sum it up, Rucian traveled three hundred years without one a Bondmate, disconnected from everything, only aging. After that, he resurfaced at three hundred and figured out how to stay alive- by creating a Bondmate. And then he found my birth mother and convinced her to have me and then I became his Bondmate. And we've been Bondmates ever since." Seraphina smiled happily, her eyes glossing over with memories. "Hmmm...Oh, yeah, you can. Don't be surprised if you find Rucian there often. He loves his garden a lot- sometimes he even does his own gardening!" she giggled and opened the door to the main room at the end of the hall.

"Oh, " Calix felt his whole face heat. "I guess that was stupid of me. I think I just assumed he was born mature, it's hard to think of him other wise. He was on his own for three hundred years, then?" Biting his lower lip, Calix felt sympathy. They kind of had that in common. Not to mention the garden thing. Lowering his head, Calix's face turned even brighter. "Then maybe I can manage to say 'my liege' after every word and break a record or something," he muttered, slipping into the main hall. Embarrassment clung to his chest and kept prickling him, making him want to crawl under his grand bed. Glancing up at her, Calix managed another small smile. "Am I suppose to call you something that I haven't been? I feel a lot more comfortable around you--sorry for being so open, but it's true. Both of you are powerful, but... I don't know. Around him... I feel like I should be kissing the ground he walks on."
Still blushing about what he admitted, Calix cracked a bigger smile and looked around. "Everything turned out better than I thought it was going to. I thought that I would either mess up and be beheaded, or the king would declare me too stupid to continue living and kill me off that way."
Calix paused and glanced up at her. "I noticed, though, he's... more open around you, which is cool. It makes me jealous because... well, I've never had that. My bondmate has either been missing, or a complete ass-" He cleared his throat, "pampered poodle. I just hope my bondmate doesn't hate me. I hope he, or she, is... likeable."
