(Yesss, that's what I was trying to say but my mind said "NO TIRED")
"Oh," Percy thought about it for a moment. "Well, I doubt Rafferty and those guys would have told anyone they killed me..." He looked down. It was really hard to think through this headache. "Did I say that we could meet somewhere around midday? I'll be there before three, but I can't promise if my dad will be fine with me leaving so soon, nor how I will feel. So, don't wait for me too long." Nodding, he stepped to the edge of the cliff, trying to gain his grounds. "Bring me anywhere you think you won't get caught. If you just bring me right up where I fell, that would be great, since there would probably be no one there. They might think I am guarding the border."

"Well, won't they be surprised to find out you're still alive," Kendall mused. "Alright, I'll try to meet you there." The singer gave one more bright smile before stepping away. His form gave way suddenly and where Kendall once stood was a bird-like creature that stood exactly the same height as Kendall. Dina won't go into detail about what he looks like, go read his profile. The pemanu let out a little musical coo as it crouched down, making it easier for Percy to get on.

Percy let out a breath of amazement. "You're... amazing." He couldn't refrain from petting the great creature beside him. "Beautiful..." Then he got over himself and climbed onto Kendall's back. Kendall should get use to Percy being on top. A groan left Percy and he buried his face into Kendall's feathers, and then he wrapped his arms around Kendall in order to make sure that he wouldn't fall off. This entire trip was going to hurt like no other, wasn't it? Kendall's feathers were soft. If they stayed just like this, Percy wouldn't mind falling asleep. "I'll try not to puke," Percy teased.

Kendall cringed at the idea of being thrown up on. He couldn't imagine cleaning that out of his feathers. Alright, here I go... I hope I can get him to where he needs to be in one piece. With that thought in mind, Kendall jumped into the air and began flapping his mighty wings. Lucky for him, he was able to take off and successfully fly. But the added weight on his back made it difficult to ascend straight up, so Kendall decided that it would easier for him to gradually fly up, as he was doing now. It was nice, though, flying through the gorge and feeling the wind whip through his feathers. Flying was truly a feeling he could never get over and it was new to him each time he took off.
While Kendall still had problems with flying straight, he eventually did make it out of the gorge, up to where the two islands faced one another. And he turned, flying towards Percy's side of the island. Lucky for both of them, probably the first thing taught to young pemanu was how to land properly. And, that Kendall did, arching up and flapping his wings quickly to slow himself down. And, guess what? He had managed to land just fine.

Before, it had been nauseating. Percy had thought that it was going to be the same, and it was, in the beginning. His stomach hopped up and made him hold more tightly onto Kendall, his eyes shut tightly. Then, the wind encouraged him to look up. His head hurt like no other, but a for a few moments he was able to forget that. A breath left him, "This is amazing..." The small bits of color in his eyes lit up with fascination. He wanted to yowl into the air, but he knew better.
That would attract attention. When the hit the ground, Percy slid off Kendall and stumbled a bit, only to turn and grab Kendall's face. "That was amazing!" He grinned at the bird face. This creature... this boy was amazing. Ducking under Kendall's head, Percy wrapped his arms around him. "That was so amazing..." He breathed into the soft feathers.

The bird creature let out another coo, almost as if Kendall were saying, 'I'm glad you liked it.' But, he waited silently as Percy had hidden himself in his feathers. Staying, however, would prove to be dangerous should someone found them. Kendall gently pulled away, if he could, and stepped closer to the cliff. If he had been able to pull away, then Kendall cast one last glance back at Percy before diving down, then up again to the other island. As always, he'd veer off but he felt proud of himself for being able to carry extra weight with him. That was something they didn't teach pemanu until they were skilled flyers.

[SKIP]
"Really, Percy?" Percy jumped when his father caught him with the lunch basket, just about the leave. "I told you to take a break today. Why are you so eager to get out there? Especially when those boys practically murdered you." Percy's father looked quite intimidating, really. Prime warrior. His muscles certainly could only have been acquired after years and years of hard training.
Percy gave a sheepish smile. "I just... I don't like being on my own. I'll be careful, okay, Daddy? I feel fine." He hopped over to his dad and kissed his cheek before dancing away from him. "Kay, I love you, bye," he said as fast as he could before his father could stop him.
It was true. He felt better. While his head still ached a bit, it wasn't as bad. And at least now Rafferty and those guys looked at him like he was a ghost. Quickly, he ran to the meeting place, holding the lunch to his chest. He would be a bit early, but he didn't want to miss Kendall.
To his surprise, there was a rough path to get down to the beach. Yes! Carefully, Percy navigated down to the small beach beside the gorge. With a wide grin, he sat down and waited. What if he doesn't come?
He'll come.

Kendall hadn't left as early as he had hoped. Much like Percy, he had been intercepted by his father, but the conversation hadn't been about a father worrying about his son. His father only wanted him to deliver a message to another warrior before leaving. After performing his duty, Kendall wandered off from the village, undetected and alone.
Closer to the edge of the islands but still hidden, Kendall transformed and took off. Traveling through the air, it didn't take long for the young pemanu to find the cliffs. And from there, it took even less time to find the beach he had seen many times before. But there was something new this time. The creature smiled when he realized that his new friend was there.
Kendall landed with ease, landing upon the rocky beach. The bird and feathers soon gave way to the form of a young man who hoped down from the rocks and into the sand. Now, as a human, Kendall couldn't hide his smile as he made his way over to Percy. "How was the climb down?" Kendall chirped in that soft voice of his.

Immediately Percy leaped up and walked over to Kendall, excitement bubbling in his stomach. "It was actually pretty easy. Well, I slipped a few times, but not life threatening." He waved his hand towards the path. "See?" Then, he held up the basket for Kendall to see that, too. "I also brought you food." He took out a blanket that he brought with him and laid it own on the ground so that they would have somewhere clean to sit. Plopping down, he set the basket in front of him. "I hope you're hungry."
Stretching, he yawned and then chuckled, "Well, cool fact, my mother made this blanket for me. How are you today? Any new developments in pemanu town?" His eyes lit up as he watched Kendall. "What's it like? To live there?" Pausing, he pursed his lips in thought and then asked, "What's your family like?"

Kendall took a step forward, watching quietly as Percy set the blanket down. "Are-are you sure it's okay if I sit on it? I mean... if your mother made it, it must be important to you." He didn't sit down just yet, reserved about the issue. "It's not really that exciting. I mean, I guess living on the side of a mountain is exciting but," he offered a smile, "daily activities in the village are probably just like yours." That wasn't an insult, don't worry. Kendall finally went to sit down, but he did so cautiously and hesitantly. "And my family's just... them. As the norm, mothers don't really take care of their children and my father was busy, so I spend my childhood in sort of.." He glanced to the side, unsure how to describe it. "A day care."
He glanced back up at Percy, smiling brightly. "What's your village like? Do your people have any special festivals?"
