Finally. No more Kenneth. No more Kasimir. No more teens that caused him to want to burn mattresses. No one but his wine and possibly Edwin. He sat in his study with low lights and a fire hearth. In his lap, he had a history book resting open, and a glass of wine in his hand. Mindlessly, he sipped the glass while skimming the known history of ketsuki. If Edwin was in the room, Clyde murmured, "Perhaps I should write my own history book. For ketsuki. It'll be titled, 'The Fall of Tudor into McCarthers' Bitch'." A sigh left Clyde and he let his head fall back to search the ceiling. "Though, it would be a boring book to everyone until it got to the part that Kenneth kicked my ass out of the leader's chair." Clyde reached over and poured himself more wine. "And here I am, hiding in the shadows of his father and uncle." A smirk curled Clyde's lips. Whether or not this was a monologue, Clyde probably said all of this anyways. Taking another sip of his wine, Clyde set his drink aside and closed the book. He ordered some new books which were set to deliver today.
On the other side of the house, August was going through the rooms and helping the other servants clean out the rooms. Even if he could easily be lazy, he couldn't help get random bursts of energy to do something. And right now, he had that.
In one of the rooms, Charles gently held little Troy, rocking him so he could fall asleep. "Darling, I think perhaps we should warn Mr. Tudor that we will need to stay a few days extra. By the way, Darling, how are you feeling? Do you need anything?" A breath left Charles. "I wonder if Clyde is going to kick us out…"

If Edwin was in the room, he probably was, than he sat nearby, sleepily staring down at the book. He smiled at Clyde's words, golden eyes flickering up to the old ketsuki. "I don't think it'd sell very well, Clyde," Edwin mused, closing the book that was in front of him. "You'd have to make it appeal to a younger crowd. And kids these days are into the strangest things..." The malaki sat back in his chair, smiling still. "And you make it sound like living with August and Anderson is an awful thing. I'm pretty sure everyone knows at this point that you actually like them."
Dina can't remember if we did say they had their next child, but if they had, then Elizabeth (can I change her name? it's the whitest name ever.) sat on the bed, holding their small newborn daughter close. "I'm fine, Charles," she muttered. "Just tired.." Which was the truth. Caring for two babies at once was tough and Kenneth's daughter couldn't help but wonder just why they had done this to themselves... Not to mention the extra stress of having to help their poor daughter, who no doubt was staying in a room closest to her parents.
With a sigh, Elizabeth carefully made her way off the bed and stood. "We should probably go talk to him because I don't think I'm ready to start traveling around just yet."

A blush filled Clyde's cheek and he lowered his eyes and grabbed for his cup again. "I don't like anything, Edwin. I am a ketsuki noble--we have no heart by law and therefore are unable to like or love." He swirled his wine before glancing up at Edwin with a very small curve on his lips. Perhaps he had drank any too much wine because he felt incredibly relaxed at the moment. Hopefully neither Anderson nor August had a bat in the room, he would die of embarrassment. Especially since he said, very softly, "But yes. I... I do. And you. I enjoy your company along with those two." A sigh left Clyde and he shook his head, taking another sip of his wine.
After a few moments of being quiet, Clyde said, "One of the worst things in life is regret. It's one of the worst feelings."
Charles smiled at his wife and gave a nod, "Of course, my dear." Walking over to the door, he held it open for her. Worry pressed his brows for a moment and he pursed his lips. "Darling, when we return, I can watch the children and you can nap. I'll find a different room--or you can nap in Elaine's room if you wish."
(There are so many white ass names on this site xD But you can)

Edwin couldn't fight back the laugh that rumbled through him. "You only like me because I bring wine, and I listen. But I think you've had too much to drink, Clyde, especially if you're actually admitting to liking people." Edwin stood, making his way around the table to sat he could sit closer to Clyde. "Come on, maybe you should go lay down or something before you say something else I'll never let you forget." He smiled sadly at his friend. "And I know that too, Clyde. Don't worry. Everyone has something they regret."
"We'll worry about that then," the ketsuki nodded, heading towards the door. Stepping out into the hall, she glanced back at her husband. "First we have to make sure we still have a place to stay." And with that, and probably still carrying the tiny newborn, Elizabeth made her way down the halls of the great manor. As stubborn as her father, she didn't want to admit out loud that she didn't even know where Clyde was. She hadn't had a bat in a while. Guess who took those?

"Oh," Clyde practically purred, "but I'm celebrating. Can't I drink some more wine?" Just to be rebellious, Clyde took a long sip of his wine. Then he looked at Edwin seriously and then his brows fell together with sympathy. "People do regret. Edwin, what do you regret? You're only... forty? That's a terribly early-" Gods, he was having trouble making words fit together correctly. "That's terribly early." Don't worry, folks, Clyde wasn't even that buzzed. It was a mix of comfortable company and fatigue.
He swears.
Clyde shook his head, "Excuse me, Edwin. That was terribly invasive." After a pause, he criticized himself in a mumble, "How many times am I going to use the word terribly?"
Usually it's the men that hate asking directions. "Perhaps we should ask someone where Mr. Tudor is so that we don't have to scour the entire house," Charles said with a small smile. He moved to catch up beside his wife, his eyes soft as he looked at her. Leave it up to me to forget about protection and be so horny that I can't wait for it. I didn't even think of a 'day after' pill... His eyes fell to the sweet child in Elizabeth's arms. But how can I wish for something else?
A wild August appeared.
He stepped out of a room, after helping another servant flip a mattress. His brows rose when he saw two children--never mind. Four children. "Hello," August said calmly to them. "Is there anything I can do for you?"
Never mind that August was nearly eyeing that baby like a hungry jackal.
Cloudy is thinking August doesn't know about Elizabeth, maybe. Or he doesn't know what she looks like. Cloudy has no idea. Even if August did know, this dialogue still makes sense. So suck a dick.

Edwin was probably the only Daniels who didn't let sad words pull him down. He smirked lightly, rolling his eyes. "Clyde, I didn't stay behind to hear angst. Gods, you're worse than a teenager, aren't you?" The malaki rested his head on the table, his single arm being used much like a pillow. "How about later this evening, maybe you and I, maybe August and Anderson if you can't be with out them, could rejoin civilization by taking a stroll. You won't need it, but I think eating out somewhere sounds pretty nice." I hope this doesn't sound too gay. That wasn't what Dina was aiming for.
Dina is also thinking August doesn't know Elizabeth. The eldest spawn of Kenneth stepped forward, adjusting her tiny daughter in her arms. "You're August, right? I'm Elizabeth, Kenneth's oldest daughter, and this is my husband, Charles," she said, motioning back at the little bitch who followed her around. "We were looking for Clyde, hoping it would be alright to ask if we could stay a little bit longer because we're not quite ready to set out yet." Either because of Elaine, they just weren't ready, or maybe because they may have just had their daughter. So no traveling yet.

Clyde snorted and shook his head. "I'm a noble. We're required to hate our lives so that all the rats are even more annoyed with us." His eyes were playful as he glanced at Edwin. "You're asking me to actually get off my lazy ass for once? The nerve!" He put his wine aside, because if they were going on a walk that would mean it would better for him if he weren't stumbling. "No. That sounds like a fine idea. I suppose I should ask Anderson and August, they might appreciate being taking out to a very nice place." He reached over to gently run his fingers through Edwin's hair. "If you don't mind."
August's interest level shot through the roof. "Ah," he gave Elizabeth a soft and warm smile. "I can tell you right now that it would be more than alright for you to stay, but I suppose it would be a fair warning to tell Clyde." He dipped his head to each of them. "It is nice to meet you, Elizabeth and Charles. Clyde is in his study at this moment..." He turned and began to walk towards the study. "How old are you, Elizabeth?"
Why were ketsuki having children at such a young age nowadays?

Maybe it's just a social thing. Maybe they think they're capable of leaving home earlier and responsible enough to start their own families? Who knows.
Edwin smile softly. Seeing the gentle, soft version of Clyde was always rewarding. "I wouldn't mind, I'm sure they'd have fun being let out of their cages every now and then," he mused. "And when we get back, I promise you'll be able to drink all the wine you can until you pass out." If Clyde continued to rub his fingers through his hair, he would end up falling asleep. But he didn't mind enough as he remained where he was.
If August was leading them to where Clyde was, then Elizabeth followed, glancing back at Charles for a moment just to see if he was following. "I'm seventy-two(three). And I know we've been here for a while, so I apologize for not introducing myself sooner." Definitely more polite than her father. "Charles and I have been quite busy."

(LOL The last question was a question August was asking himself, but that works too. You're so cute...)
Clyde snorted and held his own head in his free hand. "Firstly, you can't trap McCarthers into cages, Edwin. They always find some way out. They're rats, after all." Though, he said all of this softly. "And I've never drank so much that I've passed out. I do feel very relaxed right now." A sigh left Clyde and he nearly smiled. "It was so stressful having practically an entire population inside my home. And teenagers..." He frowned. "But I suppose the children were alright." Who was he kidding? He loved the children.
Not the way Hiro loves children.
Charles followed after them, acting more like a bitch because older male McCarthers frightened the shit out of him. "Seventy-two(three)?" August's brows raised slightly, speaking quietly to himself. How old was Kenneth when he had kids? "Oh, no worries. I can see you have your hands full." He glanced back at them, his eyes soft as he glanced between the children. "I realize we have just met, but if you need any help at all, or just a break, your grandfather and I wouldn't mind a single bit to watch after those two."
(OPTIONAL)
August arrived at the study, though he paused at the entrance. "Now, I can already predict what Clyde is going to do. He's going to complain, but he'll allow you to stay. Don't listen to him, he's a little brat." With that, August held open the door for Elizabeth and Charles and called in to Clyde, "You have guests."
"I just got rid of guests..." Clyde murmured with a sigh. Taking his hand away from Edwin, Clyde stood and turned towards the door, folding his hands behind his back.

(Imsorrytherewasnodescriptionaftersoijustassumedhewasaskingoutloud)
Edwin didn't have time to tease Clyde, especially when August and the newcomers entered. He sat up and silently wondered whether or not he should leave. After all, it was rude to just sit there and listen in on their conversation.
"Hello, Mr. Tudor," Elizabeth said dryly, or at least tried to be as polite as she could be. "So sorry to bother you, but my husband and I were wondering if we could just stay for a few more days. We would have left with everyone else, but with a new baby and our oldest daughter to deal with," she didn't mean 'deal with' in a bad way, don't worry. "It was sort of difficult to get ready in time. Just a couple days is all I ask."
Even Edwin knew it wasn't wise to mess with a testy mother.
