"Well, seeing as you're a male, you should be ready to get out as soon as possible," Shetani said, shrugging her shoulders. It was awkward though, being assisted by a male, let alone a stranger, especially when he wrapped an arm around her waist. "Since you're with me, I sure hope you can run fast." As brutal as it sounded, she was being honest. If anyone saw this stranger, a man, with their matriarch, they'd probably go after him. "But I could probably stall them long enough for you to get away if it comes to that."

"Sexist, are we?" Amadi raised an eyebrow. But confusion twisted his face. "Why are would you cause me more trouble? Are you the omega or something? Don't tell me you are a shaman." He sucked in a breath. "You should probably inform your leader to not let anyone travel by themself, and to always be ready for a monster to attack." Little did he know. Not that things were any less awkward for him. While he never really met another male friend, females were foreign to him too. He tried to be careful as he led her to where she pointed out. "Why are you by yourself?"

Despite the situation, Shetani couldn't help but smirk. "What? I'm not allowed to take a walk alone in the place I live in?" It's okay, she felt as if she could be honest with this stranger only because she figured he didn't the way her tribe ran, nor did she fear his judgement. "I was... you know.." she shrugged. "Trying to escape my advisors. You know how it works." It would be hard for anyone to figure out she was the matriarch of the tribe. So informal and still a child herself. Oh well.

"Oh yes," Amadi replied, a bit sarcastically. "My advisors are always tailing me down." He cavoided tripping over a rock. His hand tightened on her waist, only because he didn't want to drop her. "Well, I suppose I would understand. Somewhat. I enjoy my freedom of no one having a say in what I do, when I do it, and how. I couldn't imagine if someone tried to tell me how I should live my life. I have been told, though, that I am missing out on tribal life. I was never too social." Contrary to how he was acting, though, because he was speaking so much. He doesn't get that much company, don't judge him too much.

The woman let out a soft laugh. "Whoever told you that is a liar. You really aren't missing much." Another shrug. "But hey, you're tribe's probably a lot different than mine at least." Shetani fell silent for a moment, glancing around. Indeed, the scenery slowly began to change. Shadow doesn't know, but maybe they would arrive to the bridge the village was built under soon enough. Shetani though couldn't think of anything else to say, suddenly wondering if she was coming off as annoying. Alright, so maybe she was concerned about being judged.

Amadi felt a small smirk hint at the corners of his lips. "Well, she was my mother." He felt himself slow, cautiously. And even quiet down. Fear trickled through him. More quietly, he spoke, "What is the Almasi tribe like? The tribe I came from, the old people choose who you're stuck with for the rest of your life, even if they decide you're going to marry the same gender, and if you don't like it, you're exiled." Cloudy read everything, but she still doesn't know how it works so Dina will have to lead her through the layout of the underground.

"In our tribe, if you're born with a dick, then you either work in the mines or you work as a servant." Terribly blunt, but it was quite honest. "If you're a woman, you have to have some sort of warrior training before you decide what you want to do. If you want kids, you pick the guy you want, have the kid, the dad stays to watch the kid while the woman's off working and then when the kid is old enough, the dad returns to work and the mom does too." Shetani was doing a great job representing her home. She was smirking as well, it was easy to hear it in her voice. "If you want another kid, then find another man and the entire process repeats itself." Her gaze, hidden under her mask, flickered up to Amadi. "Which is why you shouldn't stick around long."

Her bluntness surprised him. He snorted, which was the closest thing to laughter that has come out of him in months. "How are you sure I have one? I could easily be a woman who is deeply offended by you." Amadi glanced around, preferring bluntness over secrets. Her smirk lifted his spirits a bit. Now confusion filled him. "Wait, if you guys dislike... males so much," he refrained from profanity. "How come you're okay with me? Seeing as you mistook me for being a man."

The matriarch let out a laugh that turned into a fake one. "How funny are you." But then her gaze, falling away from the man that assisted her back to the village, softened as she spoke her next words. "That's because I grew to like my father. I still try to see him as much as I can." Another shrug, shrugging away the softness, not wanting to look vulnerable. "So I'm not a cruel sexist pig like the others are. And you did save me, so don't you think I have a reason to 'okay' with you?"

Amadi felt a pain grow in his chest and cut at him savagely, but the only give away was his slight sharp intake of breath. "I just don't have that good of a reason to trust people so easily," his voice fell into that of his normal one: distant and slightly sad. The humor fell away, and he was tempted to walk to rest of the way in silence. He forced himself to continue. "I know what it's like, to love a parent. The only person I ever really knew was my mother, so don't let your father go too easily, alright? Because then the only thing that you have left of him will be a charm that you wear around your neck."
He swallowed thickly at that. Amadi began to slow slightly, perhaps they were getting closer to the village. "I'm sure you'll grow up to be a fine young woman," Amadi said, preparing his goodbyes. "He raised you well." Okay, so maybe he judged her a little but younger than what she was. Don't blame him. He can't guess ages well.
