Aaron felt his breath caught. Did he tell Nate what happened? A quiet smile pulled his lips when Nate kneaded his shirt. He reached up and carefully ran his fingers through his boy's hair. "A lot happened. You don't need to worry about it." Would Nate be old enough to understand a seizure? Or would Nate just worry about it, not understand, and stress? A sigh left Aaron. He wished he knew more about this... parenting thing. What would he want? Well. He would want to know what happened. "Do... do you want me to explain it to you?"
Grinding his teeth, Seth muttered to his son, "A bad influence? I am a good influence. Except to little shits... isn't that right?" Milo gave no answer.
Jeremiah clapped his hands, shooting Zachariah a bright grin. "I'm so excited!"
"Why?" He sighed. "The kid is shy, and he had a seizure. I doubt he'll be willing to play." Frowning, Jeremiah punched his brother's shoulder. A whine left Zach and he rubbed his shoulder. "That hurt. Don't punch me." His eyes flickered up towards Chase and he fell behind him, because he was too shy to approach Aaron.
Jeremiah, on the other hand, ran straight up to the open doorway. Though he had the decency to wait for Chase.

Chase followed the twins to the door that led to Aaron's door. Since it was open, he decided to whisper. "Remember that if Aaron let's you visit Nate, don't crowd him or get too excited. Be quiet and let him decide whether or not he wants to approach you." Because he figured that was the best way to handle a shy person; be quiet and let them call the shots. With that, he rapped his knuckles against the door, as was the polite thing to do.
Meanwhile, poor Nate looked ready to reply, but then there was a knock on the door. The little kitten retreated back under his fortress of blankets, but peaked out just enough to see what was going on. Too bad, he was being so cute with Aaron too.

Oh, it was so tempting to roll his eyes and act like a child. Instead, Aaron pushed himself up, carefully, and glared at the door. He spotted Seth's older brother, and two kids on either side of him. Twins? Wiping his tongue over his teeth, Aaron glanced at Nate. "Heyo, see that? There's too kids." He leaned over to gently tousle Nate's hair. His eyes flickered towards Chase. "What can I do for you?"
Jeremiah slid forward, eyes full of curiosity. He took a few steps into the room and tried to discern the figure in the blanket fort. He glanced behind his shoulder, towards both his brothers. "He's really shy."
"Really shy," Aaron repeated. "But also really brave. Isn't that right, kitten?" He ran his hand over Nate's head again, trying to soothe him.

Poor Nate. "I'm sorry to bother you now, but these two heard about Nate and wanted to meet him." Chase leaned himself against the doorway. "So I thought that, if you were okay with it, these guys could become acquainted." But from where he stood, Chase could see poor Nate retreat further under the blankets.
As the child did so, he pressed himself further against Aaron in an attempt to bring himself comfort as all the strangers continued to stare at him. He heard Chase's words and yet he was still too frightened to understand why they were here for him.

Aaron wrapped an arm around Nate and regarded the two twins carefully. He shrugged and said, "Alright, kiddos. But you need to-"
Zachariah crossed the room and leaped onto the bed. Midair, he transformed into a little cub and landed with a small bounce on the bed. He sniffed, carefully, ears perked as he regarded the mound that was Nate.
"Wow," Aaron held up a hand. He turned his attention towards Nate and muttered softly, "Little Nate, look! It's a little kitten. Just like you. He wants to be friends. Do you mind just looking at him, and giving him a little wave? It's okay if you don't want to." Aaron spoke in a soft, soothing voice, gently rubbing his back through the blankets. "But see? He's not going to hurt you. He's going to stay still, where he is."
Jeremiah paused, not moving an inch. He held his hands up to his mouth in anticipation, waiting, watching. Zachariah, gently, laid down and rested his head on the blankets. It wasn't like him to charge first, but he figured his brother would mess everything up and make Nate all scared again.

It took some time before Nate was able to muster enough courage to start moving. With widen eyes, he crept forward and out from under the blankets. Kids.. In his experience, kids were a lot less scary than adults were. During his time as a slave, the little anigma remembered being transported and trained alongside other children his age and older. Most were human but there were others who were like him, or ones with the occasional pair of pointed ears.
But... there was something about the tiger cub in front of him. Something strange and familiar at the same time.. Something.. a smell, perhaps? Something that told him Zachariah was not a threat. Slowly and ever cautious, Nate raised a shaky hand. His widened eyes flickered towards Aaron as to make sure his guardian was still there before, if it was alright, Nate reached out to pet the tiger cub.

Very softly, Aaron said, "See? He's not going to hurt you. He just wanted to meet you." Very gently, Aaron ran a hand through Nate's hair. "Look at that. Isn't he soft?" Smiling, Aaron glanced up at Jeremiah and then Chase. This, this was good. It was great. "What do you think, little guy?"
Zachariah was afraid to move, but he smelled it. It was the familiar, calming smell he got from being with Jeremiah. His pupils grew and he flickered a gaze up to Nate. It couldn't be possible, could it? Memories of when he was smaller were so blurry and fuzzy, mixed together. It was such a small slice of happiness. He remembered his father's smell, laying on him and kneading his thin chest. He also remembered... Zachariah gently pushed against Nate's hand, very gently, to encourage the touch.

Nate didn't answer Aaron, not right away. Instead, the small boy tried to gently pet Zachariah. The cub's fur was so soft to the touch. Did his own fur feel like that when someone pet him? But, as he pet Zachariah, the small anigma still couldn't decipher the strange feeling that made him calm around the twins. "I-it's I-okay," Nate finally answered in a meek voice.
Meanwhile, maybe Chase tried to gently usher Jeremiah forward. "You can say hello too, if you want," he whispered.

Jeremiah jumped, surprised at Chase's presence. He pulled himself out of what he had warped into: the scene before Nate and Zachariah. Carefully, very carefully, Jeremiah stepped forward and went to lean on the edge of the bed. He sniffed and said, "He... Zee? What's... why do you smell like Zach?" Jeremiah asked quietly, his head tilting in confusion.
Aaron raised a brow. He had no idea what that meant. But, hey, Nate was actually talking to a stranger. It was amazing.

It's okay, Aaron. Nate had no idea what they were talking about either. Probably because he didn't know their names. Zach must have been the one that he was petting. But they noticed the smell too, apparently. "Y-you guys s-smell weird too," he said quietly. Nate pulled his hand away from Zachariah and pulled the blankets up and around his shoulder.
While Nate had no idea what was going on, Chase wasn't sure either. But he was curious as well. Chase took a careful step into the room, but remained for enough from the bed as to not scare Nate. "What are you two talking about?" He asked the tiger twins. "Why would he smell like you if this is the first time you've interacted with him?"
